We had the lake to ourselves so could cast around. My mate was in 5 but fishing tight to the reeds on his right, so the left hand reed bed from 6, and had two from there. There was plenty of fizzing coming from the corner what will be the left hand side of swim 6. Another mate was in 11 all weekend and didn't have anything nor see anything. We had a fairly cold easterly wind all weekend.

I had a couple out of 9, a mate was in 8 and saw a few shows and lost 2

Yes mate went at the beginning of this month. warmish days but cold nights, didnt see hardly any shows so had to go on the bailiffs advice which was fish tight to the reeds and use back leads

7 of us on there fishing 2/3 rods each for 48 hours we had 6 fish ranging from 13lb-24lb, we were spread out over the two islands and those fish came out of 3 swims, 1, 5, and 7. Nice fish but not the easiest of lakes, the bailiff said when we got there if you get 6 fish out you've had a good weekend.

clean toilet and shower on site and breakfast and dinner delivered to your swim, food was good

Went the middle of Oct just as we had a few frosts at night so made it very quiet. No fish between the four of us but plenty showing at all times of day. Great place for a social as we stated that when booking and they were happy for us to congregate in the middle swim as you were only about 5 seconds away from your rods (too far I know in most circumstances) but there are no snags and a thin bed of reeds around the lake so minimal risk of any danger to the fish. Would go again.

Having a bit of a social with a few mates there in a couple of weeks and wondered if anyone had been lately and has any tips or pointers for a starting point?
