I use a small net similar to this. No worries about keeping them for a long time then.

Yeah i only catch my livebait on the day and same water. Just tend to have a few floating in the bucket up end of the day.

Ive never brought a live bait trap for minnows only used a plastic bottle cut off trap. As if i flaot fish for them there tend to be too big for the perch

Battery air pumps generally have a clip on the back to clip to bucket handle.

TBH, I just use a mesh over the top and bungy to hold it in place, easy to refresh the water, or stake out in the margins when static.

You may want to have a read up on moving live baits around to make sure you don't fall foul of the bylaws. ALWAYS have bait catching gear with you when fishing with livebait. (I have had a couple of close shaves )

I think you need a licence for a minnow trap these days, which maybe why you only see cheep Chinese crap.

After two items:

Live bait aretor pump that can go in the bottum of a bucket for pike live baits

I know you can get buckets that an outside pocket on them for a pump but i have so many buckets already seems silly to buy another one.

2nd a decent minnow trap as all my bottle made one seem to last abput 5mins then break
