just because they arent fenced doesnt mean they arent worth fishing. The otters dont seem to be hitting them much.

Other fenced lakes: Grendon, Ringstead, Barkers & Princess (WDNAC), Marys, Roman & Kislingbury (Stanwick Lakes)... Probably more I cant remember. As said above there is a load not fenced which do hold some good fish, lower stock but it all depends on what you want from your fishing.

No just one, glebe lake I believe it’s called. The landowners stance is to not let them put a fence up. The fenced lake is a different landowner.

I know a few that have fished it in the past. I grew up fishing the day ticket lake next to it. Everyone always seemed friendly enough. This was before he handed the running over to his sons though. Someone must have a number though.

The Nene valley has so much water about.
Thought I was blessed in Kent, till I went up there.

A few I know have publicity bans in place. To keep the trophy 🏆 hunters away, or keep a interesting, colourful past from people. Draw you own conclusions.

Some that spring to mind. Ecton ( RIP Alan ), Little Houghton as Smithy said, Wellingborough lakes, Little Irchester, Grendon. Ringstead or Crackers Meadow.

Also some off the rader, Anyone Remember the unknown Northants ‘scarred leather’ that came out of a water that all the fish nickers thought they had all the decent ones out of it when the lease run out, or was a free water.
Then a guy took a risk, took out a lease on it, unknown low stock, tidied it up.
A few fish captures later, that lovely surprise came out to one of the few that had a ticket, nice quiet banks.
He filled up his spare spaces after it appeared in Carptalk

I fished Little Houghton (River Lake) 4 years ago before I sold all my gear - just getting back into it now costing me a fortune to start from scratch!!

I had some nice fish out of there, the biggest being a 36 common - I have been away from the scene for a while so have limited up to date info - but would love to go back.

As others has said, its a 6 month ticket - no idea what the price is now though.

Houghton is run by Mr. Arrowsmith now. 6 months only as it's closed over winter.
