In reply to Post #90 Had their sample pack sent to me along with some pellets.
You can never have enough pellets :-)
I just stick a bait in a glass of water for 24 hours. Then have a sip and a nibble.
The SLK is a very nice Liver bait.
And the S7 is again a very nice red Fishmeal.
I’ll be stocking up once the water warms up. At the moment I’m in winter mode.
Stick fishing and sweet baits. Nothing to do with their effectiveness one way or the other.
Just a personal preference.

In reply to Post #86 Tbh mate I wouldn’t say there was much difference in it. I wouldn’t be able to choose between the krill n the s7 if i had to choose again if I’m completely honest. I haven’t had any better results since changing over to the s7, I will be using it this year tho because i fancied a change it does seem a great bait just like the krill.

In reply to Post #85 I'm currently using Krill but have been thinking of using the s7 this season. I like the Krill shelflife as I dont need to worry about it splitting when i stick it out. Is the s7 as firm as the Krill?

In reply to Post #80 I'll be using the SLK this year. I will start tricking it in early March onwards.
When I was talking to someone with connections to DNA they were suggesting 75% SLK/25% S7 but I’m going 100% SLK.
Can't give you any advice with regards what it is like fishing wise (as obviously not used it yet) but I choose it over the S7 just as I didn't want to use a red bait and with the SLK being a brown colour it suited what I required what with my lake being shallow, weedy and quite silty. Along with the Betastim this should darken them up even more.
I also choose this as it’s a little bit different to what the majority of members on the lake are using.

Can anyone tell what the Slk is like?

Thanks rich

Well got to say I’m impressed I’ve bought 10kg of the s7 with matching pop ups and wafters, first impression is really good so hopefully they do the business, funnily enough on my syndicate someone has just started using the s7 and on his second session he had out the 3 biggest fish out a 48 a 44 and a 42, if I get any of them I’ll be a happy man

In reply to Post #72 I always fish it through winter, catches very well, I use the liquid food as a glug, makes the bait softer which isn't a bad thing in winter either
When NS came out I tired it along side S7 specifically for winter, the S7 out fished it so I stopped using the NS after 2 seasons.

In reply to Post #72 I’ve always fished S7 through the winter but admittedly mixed with some Nutta. This winter I’ll be mixing it with switch from now until it gets really cold then I’ll be just on the switch.
This is purely because when the switch first came out I could t get on with it but was fishing a rock hard lake at the time and feel I never gave it a fair chance so now I’m going to give it a go this winter (not a fair test also, I understand) then I’m hoping to just carry on with the switch right up until summer then be on the SLK

In reply to Post #49 Not aimed at DNA in particular but I think anyone would be naive to think most established baits are the same as when released. Yes they may have the same ingredient list as they did originally but that doesn't mean it's the same ingredient from the same supplier or that that named ingredient is the same as the last (that can be a better thing too), fluctuations in crop, or sourcing location can mean a different product sold as the same.
I am not suggesting one minute that seasonal variations do not occur when using natural ingredients but thats a little bit different to completely changing the make up of a bait whilst keeping the same name, leading your customer base to think they are using the same bait they have been buying year on year but in fact are using a bait which is only the same in name and nothing else.

In reply to Post #52 I don't know much about baits to be honest but a mate of mine swears by the DNA s7. I've just returned from a 24hr works social, 6 of us on a local lake and about 20 carp between us, my mate with the s7 caught 12 of them and they all were bigger fish than what us others caught. Now it might just be coincidence, swim choice, better rigs etc but its certainly made me think about trying it. Hope that helps
I think its fair to say bait is only part of the jigsaw but i have noticed a marked improvement in my catch rates since using the s7. Could it be coincidence? Possibly but it doesnt do the confidence any harm.

In reply to Post #45 Great to hear the bait is back and even better to hear jase's philosophy on messing with ingredients within the bait.
One of my pet hates is bait companies tinkering/exchanging ingredients in established baits without telling the user. Soon you can be using a bait with the same name but one that has barely no resemblance to the original bait... Not mentioning any names....
No idea about cork ball pop ups but I can't see how they can in anyway be any better than the cork dust pop ups that are currently being sold.

In reply to Post #38 Funnily enough I started with 2 DNA baits side by side, Nutta S and S7, don't know if the waters I fish but the S7 wiped the floor with the Nutta S, I wasn't expecting that and I really wnated to use the NS but the S7 performance was just too strong in comparison.
Note by waters I mean chemical make up not fish preference, one of the waters they did like a Nut base but not N S...Horses for Courses I guess.

In reply to Post #34 Hi Guys, someone has brought this thread to my attention so i thought I'd give you a from the horses mouth reply rather than the thread be based on chinese whispers. Apologies if it is a little late but i have just returned from holiday. As it happened the correct information was out there anyway, given i presume in my absence by our very efficient customer service staff.
As mentioned earlier in the thread, we had been waiting for the peach flavour that goes in the s7 blend for 6 weeks prior to last week and stocks eventually ran that low we were forced to pull it offline until the issue was rectified. Something we never like to do, especially with our best selling bait, but we also won't deceive customers by changing it without prior notice. There is of course a thousand peach flavours on the market and we could have easily replaced it with any of these, but as you all know every flavour is slightly different and the one we use works really well for us in this bait. After looking at some alternatives i made the decision to wait and pull it. Which i think was the right decision in my own opinion of course. All that said, thankfully the peach arrived with us last Friday and now we are back in full production with a 1100k a day being produced until we are fully back on top.I believe the guys have now got it all back on the website and we are more or less back to normal albeit with alot of catching up to do!
I can assure you there were no issues basemix wise or liquid food wise and the bait remains the same as it was since it's release.
If anyone has any questions regarding this or any other issues regarding DNA please get in touch. I will drop in from time to time to check the thread or alternatively i can be reached at sales@dnabaits.com if it's urgent.
Thanks for your time.
Jase

Can't understand the hold up myself. I was talking to Jason I think at the NAS, might not have been though.
I'm a long term S7 user, at the NAS I stuck my nose over the hydro S7 and said what have you changed 😂, was greeted with wry smile.
I'd have to think the Krill meal is the hold up, personally I'd get the best instead of trying to hold prices....Not saying that's happening...just thinking aloud.

I've been using S7 since it came out, very impressed as both a instant and long term bait so far.
If you can get to a show DNA normally sell for £5.25/kg.
The hydro spod is a great over roll for freebies/pellets and the liquid food is a great dip, if you can get away with softer baits.

Thanks for the reply’s first off I get it from go outdoors normally £40 for 5kg but my mate knocks a couple extra quid off, even £40 for 5kg is good for the krill.
Perfect thank you do you use the hookbait a aswell? Do you glug them or just use the s7 boilie as it is?

Hi everyone was just wondering what everyone’s thought was on dna baits s7? I’m only asking because I normally use sticky baits the krill but been recommended the s7 instead,
Is it better/worse/same level? I get sticky baits krill for £37 for 5kg so not really trying to save money if I’m honest just if this is that great I’ll swap over
Thanks ok advance
