Many thanks, Josh.

Here's Triad in her prime in 2006. She always was a bit playful, as Tat found out in a downpour. Just when you want a fish to behave nicely for the pix so you can get out of the rain, she goes and gives you grief.

No, not nice for either of you Ken, but I think it's quite poignant that you found her given your history with her and LQ

Can you imagine how me and Tat must feel? Triad epitomizes Le Q for us so it was heartbreaking when it fell to me to find her dead in the margins and lift her out onto the bank. I could not get my head around the fishing thereafter so sad was I at the great carp's passing.

Now I know some will say, it was only a fish, which is true, but so was Bazil and other well-known fish that have passed on.

RIP Triad.

Very sad to read of Triads demise on Le Queroys webby today, imagine the memories she's given to people:-(
I hope she's enjoying her time in the Big pond in the sky, anglers not invited

There's one you might recognise in the July Catch Reports

Thanks Ken. I was pleasantly surprised with that Mirror, it's a stunner, I don't think my pics do it justice, it was darker than it looks, in the water, it was one of those "that's a nice fish" moments

The weather was glorious but just walking around knackered me out. I thought the point swim would have a good breeze running through it but there was virtually none. My thermometer was reading mid 30's in the shade on the point but mid 20 on the dam, and with a nice breeze down there it was much more comfortable, though I had to chase the trees shadow with my chair just to stay out of the sun.

Elba, I think your right, been keeping my eye on it over the years, a very different water I believe with reasonable depth to it. Not sure I'd take the father in law there, just the wife and I, I think.

Nice one, JP! Though I am jealous as hell, having been chasing that linear for a decade or more!

Glad you had a good time. The weather must have had a severe effect on your fishing so well done...You might want to give Elba a go sometime. One day that lake will be even better than Nappy's the, way the fish in there are growing.

A recent trip to Le Queroy Napoleon Lake saw me break a personal best which has stood since the early 0's in the shape of Triad at a spawned out 55lb 5oz. 1st cast 1st fish, mission over until Dan told me there could be a bigger Common
I didn't fish hard, only doing 16 hours over 4 days, starting around 10am and finishing around 2pm due to the extreme heat (high 30's) and managed 10 fish, 2 x 50's, 6 x 40's and 2 x 30's, below are pics of the 2 50's.
Dan told me the 50's are normally 60's and the 40's normally 50's, a return might be in order at a different time of year!

I'd like to say a big thank you to Ken Townley for all his help and Mattycarphunter (UB Baits) for the excellent pop ups.
