Did they resolve the issues about the bouys? Iím referring to the Dave Lane YouTube vid in which he was told that boats were now banned for going out and landing fish? From the vids this looks an amazing place to be privileged to fish for its stunning carp!

What a cracking capture and very well deserved! There are not that many that have got their hands on her! Best carp in the country in my opinion.

I completely agree mate about the fish rather than the weight being important. And in my view this is THE fish. Was however quite a drop in weight, so was just wanting to check the fish was OK with people in the know . If down to time of year and spawn, then no problem.

The weight is irrelevant, it is the fish that counts, the numbers are pure fate at the time of capture.
Congratulations to Tom.

Copied from robs link.

www.oxfordcarpbaits.co.uk

On Friday morning Tom Stokes came to the end of an amazing 5 year journey, when he landed his 116th Burghfield Carp in the shape of the legendary Burghfield Common at 53lb 8oz.
Tom has put a huge amount of effort and determination in to one of the toughest and most demanding challenges in carp fishing and thoroughly deserved the iconic prize at the end of it.
It was an absolute pleasure to be part of the journey and to be there Friday morning to witness the great fish on the bank, big up mate, we all knew it was just a matter time and it really couldnít of happened to a nicer and more deserving person.
Tom used his favoured MC Nut Baits along side a mixture of particles, fishing a balanced rubber bait over the top to combat the venues savage crayfish population.
Well done Tom, on a true fish of a lifetime and Englandís finest 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
