No direct correlation but I have friends on a river oop North targeting Carp and they're actually doing quite well despite the conditions, lack of Barbel action though.

Cheers Tom, I was thinking along those lines anyway but nice to have it confirmed. Trip to the tackle shop today before the early start tomorrow morning required!

After all that stick you gave me about not going!!

In these conditions itís got to be maggots and caster, light mono hooklinks, soft tips, small feeders - scale it right back. probably worth feeding a few swims and leave them alone for a couple hours. Dusk will be your best bet

Hello everyone. A couple of mates and I have the Caradoc stretch of the Wye booked on Friday for the day and am planning to target Barbel and Chub.

Just wondering if anyone has any tips for fishing rivers in the current low, clear conditions as really only ever fished in normal to raised levels and colour.

Appreciate it!
