Personally donít think it will make much difference the other two lakes are not going to appeal to the caravan, toilet tent, bivvy brigade or the fact it will probably be £10 more a night than A1. The place is absolutely rammed in the summer holidays and busy from April to October. Itís not full of big fish and is by no means easy but people still go some to camp and then thereís the hard core that just love the place me included, A1 noise, train noise people driving round after dark picking up take aways and all the rest

when korda open the lakes up the road at norton disney and with girton stocking hundreds of carp getting ready for going day ticket the a1 pits will loose some customer's so will need alot of money pumping in it. both these new sites have otter fencing that alone at the pits would cost at least 100k. and then restocking as both these lakes are using good stock fish.

You can between 2/3 at the bottom near the a1 end, there's a few pegs on that bank, and yes there was litter as I seen it and it opened Monday morning, the litter was old but there was a few bottles and so on 👍 but saying that it's anglers faults not the owners they charge 15 a night which to days prices are cheap I think 🎣

Good write up by the lad near the start of the thread good information for people there, fair play that man

not a fair reflection on the place. steve has done wonders there very little litter anymore and the site is improving all the time. True it does cater for differnt levels of angling but thats the nature of the bussiness. well run and well balifed

At least the railway line and road hide the noise from the parties that go on there sometimes

I once saw a lad catch a fish on there at night and then when doing his photos, decided to put his car on the railway bank facing downwards towards the lake so he had better light for the picture. (as well as illuminating the entire lake)

Car slid down and ended up in the lake... bailiff nearly killed him and they had to use the bulldozer to drag it back out the next morning.

Nope itís not changed much,it still looks like a gypsy camp.
Motor homes and camper vans with awnings,tv arials up and even clothes strung up on washing lines.

Best of luck to them if they have taken over. Bet the bill for the otter fence will be staggering as the site is a fair old size.
Haven't seen A1 since 1993 so I bet it's a little different now.
