Last time I fished Cromwell we got down half an hour before the gates opened.
Two guys had been bivied up on the grass outside since the previous night.
First in line gets first choice of vacant swims.

Does anybody know the rules on how pegs are chosen first thing in the morning? Thinking of booking for me and a friend for a bit of a social. Is there a draw?

Snap, but for me one of the reasons is when I used to go it was always rammed.
I can see the point of the Drone tbh from a owners pov, less intrusive than a bailiff in your swim making for awkward pointless convos, could take hours to do 'the rounds' on foot.

Is the drone at Cromwell?
I was thinking of giving that a go myself, but may think twice if so. I go fishing to relax and get away from the daily rubbish. I don't want some guy watching what I'm doing in my private sanctuary of my swin.
Besides, the pilot of any drone must keep away a distance of 50 mtrs from anyone that doesn't have permission to to be filmed

Zoned fishing and drones? Sounds Orwellian to me, It can't be that bad can it.

I heard it was for sale but that was a while back now, looking to book end of this month for June so I will see what I can find out, good to hear others views on the place as well to see if the drone makes a regular appearance.

How did you get on when you went?

Very strange, anyone else experience this?
I may mention when booking to see what they say, they could have just purchased it and giving it a go

Iíve only been once, I was their for 5 days and I must say the bailiffs were helpful the site was immaculate but yeah I did notice a drone everyday and a few times a day.

DJI phantom so a professional level bit of kit... as I said though itís a high class day ticket lake. I wouldnít of minded if they had mentioned it.

But yeah it was there
