In reply to Post #107 Ah right that makes sense, I didn’t realise they did a standard motor just thought it was the low noise or the brushless so was just comparing those

In reply to Post #105 I had a look and found it in the upgrade section. They also recommend the low noise as well as the brushless. They say the regular motors can have a negative affect with the Auto Pilot.
Motor upgrade option. For RT4 baitboats with delivery early 2013 to January 2017, we recommend upgrading to the latest version of the Lownoise or HPD brushless motors. Older motor / ESC combinations can have a negative effect on the autopilot drive.

In reply to Post #104 If you plan on getting the Auto Pilot they recommend the brushless motors
Where do they recommend that?

In reply to Post #102 I had the ultra quit motors on my old boat and got a new one with the brushless motors recently. I would much rather have the brushless ones. Its nice to have that extra bit of speed when you need it and there is no maintenance with the brushless motors. If you plan on getting the Auto Pilot they recommend the brushless motors as they say they have a faster response time. They are a bit noisier but if you want to be a bit stealthier you can run the boat speed at 50% as you approach your target area which lowers the noise.

In reply to Post #102 Only if you are fishing a big river or Chantecoq, they are noisy as well, the standard motors are more than adequate for most scenarios. The standard Jamara remote is better as well especially if you have the autopilot as it takes over if you switch it on and the autopilot takes over again when you switch it off, the Futaba doesn’t do that

In reply to Post #93 Not sure about this comment..... bit rude and untrue not to mention quite condescending
People don’t buy stuff unless it’s got a track record. To assume they are just followers and haven’t made their own reasoned decisions is just plain wrong!!!!!
I ve had RT’s from before they were popular maybe 7-8 yrs ago. Took a risk but IMO paid off.
Not seen another boat to match it for perfect size and performance and trust me spent hours of research all have their little benefits and disadvantages
