That looks terrible! Loads of metal and zero gape, would no be confident using that, it goes against everything I’ve learnt over the years.

ive been using them since they came out.. for bottom baits (wafters) i basically no knot the hook on to braid with a micro bait swivel and one of the stoppers above that. no need for kickers or sleeving. the hook holds are incredible. i was a little off put by the small gap between point and eye but they do the job just fine.. awesome hook.

** hard to sharpen as the file hits the eye**

Any long term reviews of these hooks? Just found a pack in my tackle box and don’t think I’ve ever tried one🤷‍♂️ Can’t think why

That rig looks snazzy with the knots instead of beads Ken, but the gape of the hook looks really closed off with the aggressive bend towards the eye?

Just as sharp as the muggas.

Had a good look at these at the Brentwood show. For me they are too aggressive in terms of the bend near the eye. IMO it closes the gape too far. To be fair the guys were saying that the bend is to remove the need for a kicker. That makes sense to a point, but these aren't for me.

Fancy packet mate. You’ve got them confused with the new nash hooks

Are they actually £2.50 each or is it just a fancy packet with two at the front and 8 more behind?!

I like the look but how sharp are they?
Need to master the sharpening skill. The ones I get from j precision points are fantastic

This might be a different video than the one you've seen from Gardner Joe......
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dcuqeW0hwa0

Interested in the CVR (or CRV) whatever it's called (I don't even think the Geezer from Gardner is sure lol!).
Looks like they would negate the need for a hook aligner.

Would they be classed as a "nailer" though????

Aren't the specifically designed for the Ronnie rig? That's what I got from the video. Obviously can be applied elsewhere but they are a Ronnie hook.

They look super aggressive, the eye does look to far bent over reducing the gape to my untrained eye. I'm sure plenty of field testing has been done and results good enough to allow full on release to the public, in my mind however once the point is in following a pick up surely unless the eye is outside the fish's mouth it will be digging into the internal mouth flesh.....

Anyone ordered any? Be interesting to hear what people think. I use muggas for a lot of my fishing and think Gardner hooks are the best out there so might have to give them a go
