Oh yeah, try the other leg, its got bells on.

Great fishery but the owner doesn't seem to like anyone fishing on it.

Oh I got a run he's behind me...........

Don’t get me wrong some stunning fish, just awfully managed and didn’t feel comfortable the whole time we was there, the binoculars rumour is definitely true as happened to us😂😂
we will definitely not be returning👍

Cannot beleive the son come on here to put a fake review that's crazy 😂. I feel sorry for you Nick honestly as you could have a great business there with your family but the way you guys acted like will put people off for return trips which is ashame because the lake is lovely.
Maybe become your own man when you run the place yourself 👍

Rumours are story's that are doubtful and i assure you there is not a single lie or exaggeration in anything i wrote about the place, i could have added a lot more about the owner, his attitude and the way he treated us from the second we arrived and throughout our stay.
I also caught some decent size fish but one things for sure i 100% wont be going back and wouldnt advise anyone to go there.

Great honest review Nick , are you not the same Nick that lived there when my friends fished the lake.
You have the same name could be just a coincidence.
Good luck with your quest for s job ,

about these bad rumours!!!!!!!

I first fished the lake in 2015:

I had a decent weeks fishing but no big ones, best was a scraper 30.
The owners were very helpful and the lake was extremely clean and tidy..
I booked up again for 2018, I was very surprised how the carp had packed on the pounds and the condition of them was brilliant!..
I had a blinding week, Breaking my PB twice in the same week!!
Because I had such a good week I decided to book again for 2019..
I arrived to see jo Richard and nick, had a cuppa and after then I began my walk around the lake with rich and nick..
water levels was slighty low due to the hot temperatures out in france..
I had another good weeks fishing lac rose, was hard during the day because or the heat, but managed 10 fish in total..
2x50lbs 4x 40lbs and breaking my PB yet again with a 56lb mirror..
Great lake!!!!! Great fish!!!! And good hosts.. Already booked for 2020!!!!!

Arrived at the lake thinking this is a lovely place to fish, first impressions extremely well looked after venue and good looking swims etc

Had our pet talk about how they would like the fish to be handled and unhooked which was fine and first fish rule to check you are doing things the way they asked which was fine.
First fish all done etc and no issues which was fine and was asked if any are looking over the 40lb mark to radio in so they could come see them and take photos. Wasn't too happy about this as there is always added pressure being watched over but thought okay there lake and there rules.
The issues started getting worse and worse and by 3rd day there was a couple of us which wanted to pack our bags and go home which shouldn't happen on a holiday. Fish safety is key but got beyond a joke. To the point we were being watched 24 hours a day and I **** you not with a pair of binoculars. Felt extremely uncomfatble to fish and enjoy a well deserved holiday with friends. We was called louzy at points with fish handling and that if they fish kicked while holding it we had to return the fish immediately with or without a photo. There is no reasoning with the owner or his son. There right and that's that. No double lifting. Rules need to be revised
Sad to say we won't return on this basis even though the fish and venue are stunning. Be aware if your going for a lake exclusive there isn't much exclusive than adding 2 new members to your party and not being allowed to enjoy yourself and time with friends
(bitten my tongue writing this). Tight lines guys

Garden pond carping at its very worst.

With poorly defined rules, naff food and an over zealous owner who insists on hovering over you every time you hook a fish, this has to be the most disappointing fishing holiday money can buy.

So many places in France, do yourself a massive favour and strike this one off the list.

We went there last year, its a nice looking lake and the food was good but the owner was rude, the rules displayed on the web site arent clear, for example it says the leads must be able to drop off safely, this turned into the lead must drop on the take, we walked the lake with the owner, when we asked for advice he told us he wouldnt give us any stating that if he did and we didnt catch we would blame him, in the rules it says you must unhook the fish in the water, however it doesnt say that you must follow his step by step procedure which he stands on the bank watching you do, by the end of the week we had changed the name from lac rose to lacs fun.
One of the rules is you cant use running rigs so i set my rods up using a helicopter setup, when the owner checked my rigs before i started fishing he firstly tried to tell me i had set them up wrong, i disagreed with him at which point he went into his house and came out with the card that you get with Korda rigs showing you how to put them togther, after studying my rig against the card he realised that they were setup correctly so he changed his argument to tell me i couldnt use it because it was a running rig, i ended up having to setup all my rods again.
During one catch the owner accused me of bullying the fish as i simply held it from going into an area he has told us not to fish due to the amount of snags, this led to and argument bewteen us, when the argument finshed the owner started up his mower and cut the grass only in the area i was fishing scaring the fish away the swim.
We were also disapointed with the pellet, he doesnt sell halibut pellet or something you would normally use, instead you recieve horse pellets, i can purchase these locally for £6.50 for a 15kg sack, we were charged over £10.00 for a bucket that weighed no more than a kilo.
We all agreed the owner wasnt bothered if you catch as long as you put the bait in to feed his carp, half way through the week he posted on facebook the pictures of the 4 fish we had caught with a message underneath saying some of the fish caught this week, this to me implied more fish had been caught which was a lie, this explains why on the day we arrived he was so adamant we didn't speak with the anglers that were current on the lake, we've visited several different lakes in france and this is the first time we have said we wouldnt return.
