I’m down this week for a few nights, how does the lake fish this time of the year ? Are there any local take aways that deliver to the complex ?

Cheers in advance

as with Little Legs used to fish it whilst it was MKF. Have a look if the old MKF forums still on line and also there used to be a guide by I cant remember his name something like Mick Perry?.

All swims used to produce along the main bar and the toilet swim used to have a reed bed on the left handside and also try the far left corner. A vastly under used swim used to be the far corner from the toilet swim where I had a 35LB mirror from. Used to be a lot of Premier bait and ABS going in although that may have changed. Give Fat Fish Tackle they may be able to help more.

Fished it many times when it was mid Kent.
It’s a cracking water,as previously said the gravel bar runs under the power lines was always a starting point.
As it’s now day ticket I would maybe try and think outside the box and try something different.
Don’t neglect the margins as swim 1 and 2 done quite a few fish just a rod length out.
Hope that helps

If your going during the week you won’t have much trouble getting a swim I fished it a couple of times last year during the week for 48 hours and 72 hours and their was plenty of swims available at most 5 people fishing on both occasions it’s mainly weekends you need to book on due to how busy it gets

Lets revive an old post

Looking to book on here middle of September for 72 hours. Could anyone point me in the right direction. Despite living only 25 minutes from the venue, I know very little about it

Hi guys,
Sorry only just seen your responses. I’ve not done an awful lot of time on there but had a few out up to 33lb, some lovely looking fish. Gets pretty busy on weekends and fishing becomes harder, as do most day ticket venues these days.
There’s a thinking tackle episode on there could be worth a watch for a few pointers, the fish show quite a lot on there so keep eyes pealed n fish where u see them. Most baits work but don’t over do it as they scare away from spod action in my experiences.
Lots of under water features main one being a large bar that runs in line with power cables and runs across whole lake so good starting point, very course gravel so can’t miss it.

Good luck hope you manage a nice scaly one 👍🏻

Thanks for the info mate. Good to know that it's not all covered in weed as I would love to do a session there. The mirrors in there look amazing!
Do they like a bit of bait in there or fish for a bite at a time?

Hi mate,

I fish it fairly regularly, nice place would recommend, weed is only think in the warmer months shouldn't give too much trouble just yet and even if it has got up since I went 6 weeks ago try get on road bank as there the less weedy swims.
Most swims have a feature or two so take a marker and bailiffs always happy to point you in right direction.
Becoming popular though especially at weekends.

Good luck mate hope u catch one of there stunners.

Hi all,

Been looking at a venue to do a 48hour on and stumbled upon this place. I believe it's an old Mkf fishery. Have any of you fished here before? Just after a bit of info on the place to see if it's for me as I've been told it's got some weed and I've not really done much fishing in weed before. Don't want to get there and be completely out of my league! The mirrors in there look cracking. Any info is appreciated.

Thanks
