Yeah- i'd of strongly dislike it! but there was a bit of night poaching going on.. heard many stories now haha.

Alot of fish have been caught on that bank now. I personally had one of the 30lb mirrors from the swims just past the ruins when on a social!

Imagine how frustrating it was when you could only day fish it...Ö..and not fish the vast majority of it anyway.

Yeah, a few guys are slowly mapping it out.

Its bizarre, All the 'big fish' get seen up till June, then they just disappear?! don't get seen sun bathing, in the edge or anywhere. The big common has been sighted a few times since last year they don't want to put an estimate on it but it would dwarf a 35lb..

Yea, might well be rumours. That's part of the beauty of VW though, it's so big and virtually unfished until last year that it could well hold a number of uncaught monsters. And by that I mean fish that have grown to big weight naturally, not fed by anglers' bait.

Rumours, have been told it's not true. But there is 'known' to be a couple of large mirrors!

Iím going to get my name down on the list and fish obelisk I think. All the syndicates my way are like bloody day tickets where youíre racing to swims.

Didnít see one angler in the whole park on the weekend.

The Amercian Arm, is the one that goes up towards Johnsons.

Interestingly I was also told that they drained and netted Johnsons once. It was and still is absolutely full of small commons. When they netted it they put two fish from there into VW. Both were mirrors over 40!

Parking is at saville gardens so it's a 2 min walk to get to the lake. Honesty we aren't sure. since the syndicate the biggest out i believe is just over 30.. I've seen one much bigger than that by the bridge.

There's also something in there that keeps snapping people off!

Josh:

Obby is still fishable, quite a large stock in there.. done 36 hours a few weeks back and had 20+ fish out up to 27lb.

Enut:

Which one is the american arm? - i too have been wandering round on the hot days in search of the shoal of bigger fish.. We saw smaller fish in 5 arch arm.. The biggest was probably around mid to high 20. We wondered down to the 'swamp' The smaller waterfall from wicks pond. There was an abundance of fish there.. Couldn't gauge sizes but nothing huge.

The yummy mummies were out in force. I honestly didnít see one fish over 20lb in Virginia water, some big backs coming out in the obelisk though. Is that still fishable?
