Hi Guys,

I have won a 48 hour session on Viginia Water 1st June 2018.

Anyone got any tips/ pointers to help try land a carp....

I know location is vital especially as I have never fished a lake this size...

Any areas of interest this times of year?

Cheers

Good Luck! It's a beautiful water with, I'm sure, some secrets.

I would love to keep up to date with what comes out (by PM if necessary) even though it's unlikely I will ever fish VW again.

I will next time. Didn't come over as I thought anyone fishing it isn't wanting to be pestered by Joe public!

How did you get on, the arm looked good for a bite

In my experience the fish on the main lake would rarely show (as in head and shoulder).

We always thought that this was one of the reasons it wasn't heavily fished, lots of people walk around it and I'm pretty sure of the fish showed a lot the many more would have tried to catch them!

Did three slow laps of the park today on the bike, only saw two anglers on the main lake, fishing the swim the Nash boys did their video.

Was a really nice day and spent 4+ hours slowly riding or sitting with the binos and didn't see one carp in the main lake.

Proper respect for anyone with a ticket slogging it out on there, wish I had the time.

With all that water i think I'd have thrown him in.

I wonder why they've priced it at 1000. If they put it at 400-500 it would be a hot ticket and they'd sell a few more. More anglers (more security and bait going in).

I wonder how many of the pike boys have taken a ticket at a grand?
