I thought it was bigger than 139?

If I had the time for it I couldnít think of anywhere else Iíd rather throw a grand at. Worth every penny. Itís worth it to sit and watch the runners/yummy mummyís alone!

£1,000 is a lot for a ticket

That's to keep the 'commoner carpers' out of the grounds

Have been. A member now for 9 months ish. Love the lake. Would Join again as so nice and u get left to fish
Itís not a hard water. But the walk is hard and dew to itís size itís hard to find the fish. But u find them u have them out. Wind fish go with it all the time. And there a silt gravel seam find that and the fish find the bait. Itís the biggest estate lake in uk at 139 acre. Walking the banks is the hards part to find fish as north bank is all hills. Fish do not show or not very much may just brake the water blink u miss them. Itís a beast of a lake with drop off filled with muscles that cut of the line like cotton. But itís lovey and some good fish to be had out. A good mix of fish commons and mirrors fish out to just under the 40lb just time till a over 40 comes out.

Are you able to get down and bait up? If so then I would get down a few times, have walk round and pick a couple of swims that you fancy and try to bait them a few times before your session. One of the problems however is that a lot of the areas look 'carpy'!

Maybe try getting to speak to the members and ask their advice, they might give you some pointers, after all you're only on for one session - unless you like it so much you join!

It's a stunning lake, catch or not you'll enjoy it.

Good luck and please pm me if you get a result and don't want to post it on the forum!

Itís a guessing game on a water that size. Id say the lawn casting to the boathouse area if I was to hedge my bets, the same place Simon crow was catching them from in the Nash dvd

Hi Guys,

I have won a 48 hour session on Viginia Water 1st June 2018.

Anyone got any tips/ pointers to help try land a carp....

I know location is vital especially as I have never fished a lake this size...

Any areas of interest this times of year?

Cheers

Good Luck! It's a beautiful water with, I'm sure, some secrets.

I would love to keep up to date with what comes out (by PM if necessary) even though it's unlikely I will ever fish VW again.
