In reply to Post #8 Same here, so much easier than a T bar

In reply to Post #6 Might be your choice, but certainly not everyone’s. If a tripod gives you a bit more confidence....... the caring of the prize is paramount.

In reply to Post #6 Never got on with a T bar you need to have steady arms to get a good reading, tripods are extra to carry and I've seen the telescopic arms slip on them
I USE THIS

Weigh tripods are for 50lb+ carp, and cats
Just get some good T bar scales and take your time

NGT weigh tripod £23.99
I purchased the above weigh tripod , and felt compelled to share how pleased I am with it , having doubted it's suitabillity at that price.
It stands at 1.95 m high and has large mud feet on each leg.
The legs break down into two parts with easy relocating spring connectors.
It is solid as a rock and able to take weights upto 150 lbs.
It comes in a bag large enough to repack it with ease.
It is quite heavy , but that is outshone by it's capabillities.
For £23.99 it is an absolute bargain.
No need to be a tackle tart when this sort of kit is out there
