Start learning to drive and get a car. I dont know how any one can get by without a driving licence and a car these days, even more so if your an angler.

Is anyone out there fancy a new fishing buddy
Am a mad carp fisherman live in fleet but like to travel
Have moved into the area and am looking for a lake that I can fish but also have a bit of a laugh with other people on the bank
Don't want anywhere that is to clicky and newbies are not welcome
Just want to relax and catch fish
Anyone out there feel the same

Cheers

Well can sympathise a bit as I have no friends that go fishing (but I can drive) after hearin and experiencing a couple of security issues on the bank a few years ago I have lost a bit of confidence on going solo, I'm by no means a 2stone weakling, but don't fancy having my gear stolen from under my nose either. All I would recommend mate is to join a syndicate if possible and work out a best way to get to and from lake. I used to fish solo a majority of the time but can't justify paying for a club ticket and not using it, but itching at the mo to get a line wet. Good luck

Before I could drive I used to book a mini bus to take me to the lake. Now my car and my licence is the best bit of fishing kit I have ever brought.. Learning to drive is the best thing I have ever done for my fishing

Tall , somewhat easy to get on with, twice divorced 40 something looking for "no strings attached " fishing partner with great sense of humour.

Sorry had to add that in...... Good luck in your quest for your çarp partner. As previous comment - you'll find the best fishing buddy who you just "get on with" of you just chat to people .....
Taxi is your best option..... Doubt it'll be cheap with all your gear
Good luck👍

If I'm honest this reads like you're just after a lift to the lake, probably worth getting a taxi company to send out a people carrier to drop you and your gear off..

Best place to make fishing buddies is on the bank, you might get stuck with an idiot for your session otherwise!

ummm this might just be me but this is a bit weird mate. This isnt CarpForumDating.com. lol

Best way to make friends is fish the lakes and get talking to people. Ive made some really good friends that way.

Hi there.

Im based in Coulsdon, Surrey. Very near Croydon. Im 29 and i absolutely love my carp fishing.
Been carp fishing for about 10 years now.

Unfortunately my dad travels alot now for work so i can't go fishing with him as much as i would like to.
He's the person i always went with before and sadly none of my friends actually like fishing.
I do not drive either so i really am stuck and cannot fish as much as i would like to.

So im basically looking for a mate to maybe go carp fishing with. Im a good laugh, easygoing etc.

Ideally i would love to go to furnace lakes and have a good spell fishing on the lakes there but i would be very easy going venue wise. Like i said though i don't drive so it would be good to find someone that lives reasonably close to
Coulsdon/ Croydon so would could meet up and travel to the fishery together.

Anyway maybe if you're looking for a new mate or even feel i could come along with a few of you who go regulary let me know.
My email is alanc18@hotmail.co.uk if you would like to email me

Thanks
Alan
