Here is a sneak preview at Total Fishing Gear’s biggest ever product launch.

It's called FishSpy, and it's a marker float that streams live underwater footage direct to your mobile devise.

This is what FishSpy can do:

Stream live underwater footage to your phone or tablet
No need for a phone or internet signal
No more guessing find the perfect fishing features
Check your bait is presented perfectly
Watch live as fish interact with your bait
Record up to 7 hours of footage onto built in hard disk
Over 3 hours battery life
Up to 100 meters range
Mark your key moments whilst recording
Perfect for carp fishing
Share the action along with the one that got away

Price is £249.95 - available end of October 2015 from www.FishSpy.com and selected UK and European dealers.

We appreciate this is going to polarize opinion. So what do you think? Is this cheating or a really clever way to find those hot spots and learn more about how the fish interact with your bait ? We really value your feedback, so please get involved and tell us what you think.
Visit http://www.fishspy.com for more details.

We feel this is going to be a great tool for the advanced carp angler

I was thinking more like it's a great tool for the Inspector Gadget angler.
I was going to use a different description but it's a bit late in the evening to offend people.

It's an incredibly strong product - we have field tested it for two years, so there is absolutely no chance of it letting you down by cracking or breaking on impact.

There are some people saying ''what if I get a crack off''?

As long as you use 50lb braid, a spod rod and have the ability to cast fairly well then you will have no issues whatsoever. FishSpy also floats, so the chance of losing it would be very remote.

In terms of losing it in the weed it works on a boom system. The boom supplied with FishSpy is purposely designed to have a weak point – it will break before the mainline if you use 50lb braid, therefore there is very little chance of losing one in a snag.

We are taking back orders for FishSpy - you can pre-order on www.fishspy.com . Delivery will be early November.

We feel this is going to be a great tool for the advanced carp angler who wants to give themselves an edge on an ultra hard water.

Very interesting development indeed. Certainly is going to polarize opinion and £250 is a lot of money. But if it works it will be a phenomenal edge in your own fishing. Will some fisheries ban them like bait boats? The product is different to a bait boat i guess.

Worth keeping an eye on that's for sure.

I've had some marker floats break/crack on impact of hitting the lead on the cast, is this a strong product that will over come this?
