Why would you do that?

I would ditch the overwrap though, bit pointless.

I have a brand new unopened tempest v2 bivvy system , overwrap and skull cap that i am selling and getting the tempest v2 brolly and skull cap with front infill to replace it. I rate them highly .

Are there any tall users of the tempest brolly v2? Im 6ft 4 wondering if I will see out the thing at the lske without being bent double on the bed chair? I bought the composite v2 but I'm thinking it's footprint may be too big for where I'm fishing and as you can buy an infill panel for the brolly I may be better swapping for that setup?

I have to say I was quite pleased with it for it's first outing but time will tell especially as we move deeper into winter and I've used it in some big winds.

used mine in 65mph winds the other week ( set up right on the end of it ) and it was solid as a rock , it was certainly bivvy destruction weather and it stood firm , great shelters , love mine

That's how the Youtube vid shows it, slacken off all velcro straps, remove the front poles and then you can fold it back before folding the brolly up. Still appears to me that will save time from completely undoing it and having to rethread all the velcro straps!!

You'll struggle to raise the locking bar with the 3 short poles in place. Just loosen the velcro and pop the poles out. The front then folds back and you'll be able to reach the locking mechanism of the brolly. I certainly wouldn't be removing it completely, as the velcro strips can be a bit fiddly to feed through the clips.

I saw one broken down at the weekend with just the velcro loosened and the front bars in place? I hope that is the case as i've just bought a skull cap for my Mk1. It was a Mk1 version i saw broken down.

I've now put the groundsheet in the bag for the infill panel and just put the infill panel in the brolly bag loose as I'm packing it all in the brolly bag it saves all the **** on the groundsheet getting on everything.

So I've been told and it was my intention to but what I found at the weekend is you have to undo the velcro on a few of the retaining straps to get at the clip for the tension bar and fold that back then pull the 3 short bars out at the front and fold back so beings as you've got that far you might as well take it off save faffing about.

I'm not usually a fan of the "in thing" when it comes to fishing gear but took the plunge on a V2 Brolly myself lately. Have to say having popped it up in the garden at the weekend it was quite amazing just how quickly it's up and ready to use. Can't wait to use it. I'll be getting the groundsheet, skull cap and infill panel to go with it and that'll do me 90% of my fishing I reckon

Oh, about the skull cap: I thought you can leave it on?

Iv been using the brolly since it came out . I really rate it and canít see me ever going back to a conventional brolly.

Iím still undecided about the skull cap though ? Do people rate them and are they extra hassle ?
