If anyone is considering gettting the overwrap I’d buy it as both models of the bloxx are now discontinued from what jrc told me

If you fish year round , and you feel you may want the wrap in the future, I would definitely consider getting one sooner rather than later. Had a bugger gettinging a wrap for mine as they were all sold out, and the prices were going up.

Don't think my wrap will come out of its bag next week, weather forecast for Kent is positively tropical for October!!

Let us know how it performs 👍
I’ve got a week in Nov. My winter wrap arrived this morning, can’t wait to give it a go.

used mine for the first time at the weekend. pretty impressed i have to say. had a fair bit of rain and no problems. went up and down without an issue. plenty of room for me and thats in a compact. will be using it in france for a week next week so see how it puts up to the inevitable rain and thunderstorms out there

Will you post how you got on, as I’m doing a week in France Nov-Dec and have ordered the wrap. Be nice to hear your thoughts after a full week👍

Not having used a tempest , but having watched a YouTube brolly vid, I’d say it’s not far off ( once you’ve worked out how to do it, like any new bivvy) . I estimate that from getting the brolly part ( no front) out the bag to having it pegged out takes me no longer that 3-4 min.
Add 2 min to zip on and peg the front.

I bought mine before last Christmas with the wrap, was a steal at something like £220 all in. Only done a couple nights in the bivvy and the wrap hasn't been out of the bag as yet, but will be next week as i'm on a venue for the week. Can't wait, how sad! lol

Yes, you're absolutely right mate.

Thanks Richard for responding too. Nice to read that you have had no problems, as I've read some who have had problems.

I’ve spent around 20 nights under mine as a brolly, and 2-3 as a bivvy with front. Can’t fault it. Price has actually gone up on both bivvy and winter wrap on ebay. Had trouble sourcing the winter wrap, most shops having sold out recently, leading me to think guys are happy with the bivvy after initial purchase, and are now investing in the ww. I’m awaiting mine atm with anticipation👍

Don't know if you are referring to the compact, but out of interest I was looking to see what price 2nd hand ones were on eBay (for no reason ) and there wasn't a single used one for sale. Usually a good sign
