Apparently Ali has said he isn't fit enough also they reckon Anderson in for Broad and possibly Stone in for Wood.

And on to Friday at the same ground.
Can't see Sri Lanka fall over like they did in !st innings so could be a tighter game.
Having said that Moeen Ali will come in I'm sure maybe for Wood or Curran.

Bit of an anti-climax really

When was the last time England won the first test of a series abroad?

Well played Sri Lanka to make us bat again 74 not going to be easy but should do it.
I think our spinners bowl a little bit quicker so don't get as much consistent turn as the oppo.

Oops and Sibley goes

Not had a chance to see the highlights yet but it sounded like a good knock, hope it continues tomorrow so England don't have to bat last
Burns will struggle to get back in let alone Lawrence!
Especially now bairstows got his foot back in the door

Thing is Bess didn't bowl that well Sri Lanka batted poorly.
Leach bowled superb but only took 1 but that's the way it goes.
Broad again started it all off.
Bairstow and Root batted well need a decent score as batting last on that won't be easy unless Sri Lanka capitulate again.

Sri Lanka were awful today!

At what point does foakes tell the ecb to do one and go play some franchise cricket instead of going all round the world to sit on his ass? Or is there as a keeping coach for the other two?
Nice to see bess bowl well.
Lawrence will need some runs, that drop

I really don't understand it either.
Was that a collapse or a wobble? I'm never quite sure

With Curran in the side he will help Bess to the right handers
Archer why are they driving themselves and not in coach?
