Readers' picks.

The majority agreed with me about Bairstow over Prios, but I didn't think Chris Woakes would make the final eleven. Overall, though, tt's a pretty good team IMHO.

Looks as if the first test v S. Africa is headed for an England defeat. Can't see us batting out a draw on that wicket. Can have helped with most of the squad having the sh!ts!

Matt Prior over Bairstow for me.

Hmm.. Debateable. I think Bairstow is the better keeper/batsman but it's a hard choice.

Shocked at the news that Bob Willis has passed away.

Remember watching that memorable game in 1981 when he took 8-43 after Botham had set it up.

So sad

RIP Bob

I hope he gets it, the only worry for me would be his relationship with harmer. Harmer is an excellent player who should be playing test cricket, but not in an England shirt.

I'll probably go to a game at the oval but tbh, I just don't get the need for it other than financially. Yeah I might decide to go there for an evening match after work, but I'm just as likely to drop in for the last session of a County champ match in summer. I don't even know what the county's will get out of it, with the team at the oval representing Surrey and Kent, how much are Kent going to benefit?

I'd only see a benefit for test cricket if they use a ball that moves, have a slog fest while the balls swinging round corners!
