thinking of doing a session here in a few weeks, when I walked around 4/5 years ago there was not many pegs which you could bivvy up on, how is that looking nowadays?

Not fished there for a couple of years now, but personally found the dam wall best to fish from - bit of a pain to get a bivvy up but may have changed since - we're just putting wooden stages down the last time I went

other than the dam wall those were the only pegs free. we were hoping to be there for 11ambut ended up hitting that traffic on the M6.

if you fish the left hand one of those swims you need to wade out as far as you can....you can get out 70/80 yrd..its very shallow against the island

I have seen a few caught from there, mainly cats get round by that sunken tree but also the odd carp, to be honest you did not fish the best area, but definately the shortest walk lol.

If your ever down again, let me know and i will point you into some decent swims.

just back from bailiffing...

mid dam 2 chaps had over 20 fish to 22 ish...end of dam (right side) chaps had 7 to 19 odd

the arm, one bloke had 5 lost 4, his mate had 9 to scrapper 20

turned up 3 hours late yesterday due to a lorry fire on the M6 and then did 24hr and both of us blanked. we seemed have been the only two people blanking on there aswell. other that that it was a nice session just didnt catch.

ill try, i fished it a few weeks back and got stuck into a bottle of grandpas old cough medicine and ended up falling asleep in my bivvy and missing 2 runs. im ashamed to say they were the only 2 runs i had aswell.
