haha, it's proper hard work fishing down there. Mud, cows, long distance walk with kit, blanking! I love it. It's all part of character building. Any water I get on in the future will be cushy and easy by comparison.

I'm posting this up very late. It's been on my machine at work and I've only just gone back after 6 weeks off. Anyway, here is the July blog. August will be up soon. Cheers.

This is a quality video filmed 'above and below' the water by a sponsor on here. An atmospheric soundtrack to boot that I don't tire of watching again and again...especially as it's filmed on a local water I'm fishing with a few fish I've had out too.

Keep this sort of stuff coming buddy.

Oh I see! I have only seen the latest vid

It looked like there was a flow to it still. Looks like a trek and a half

Good watch though! I will catch up with the previous 2 vids on my lunch break tomorrow

It's not a river mate, it's an Oxbow Lake, although it is only half of the typical Oxbow 'U' shape, as most of the other half was filled in for the A370 and some cottages. And a pub. The other difference is that the river's course was diverted by man to irrigate farmland, something like 200 years ago. Some of the other old half, on the other side of the road, which is now a farmers field, still gets flooded and you can see where the river used to be.

thanks mate. Yes it is hard. It's frustrating and head-banging, and those fish don't seem to follow any rules!
