i own 3 in the 3lb tc and they are great mate. put a bag out a fair distance and bend right through to the butt section so still remain a soft action. i really have grown to love them now

Ofcoure if you add a shrink wrap handle and DF the price will go up ..

If you take an old longbow and take it to a shop to get full shrink whap put on it that will cost more than 50..

And it is a brand name .. Any brand name has a price tag

the originals were also the best looking and performing rod in that price bracket, they retailed at 130 and i think once the price had dropped i payed 270 for 3 so defo worth the wait.........

still use mine for spod and marker work and they have had alot of hammer but are still great rods. one of them rods that i will never get rid of.

@ Paw... Thanks for the first answer to my question....

No doubt, there are to expensive!
But they are brand new at the moment, a trade first (DF will for sure claim sooner or later that he invented the full duplon or shrink...) *laugh*

Anyway, they are new and I guess next summer they will be a proper rod for around 100 and I gues that will be then the best looking 100 rods on the market....

had a set of original 3.5lb Longbows 5 years ago, what a brilliant rod for under 100. Absolutley piss on prodigy's in every aspect, as everyone was raving about how good prodigys were back then for the price, but Lonbows are class rods for the money. I'd wait a while and see if they come down in price, most daiwa rods do nowerdays.

Yep, pretty much Tel.

Original Longbow was 100, put a shrink-wrap handle on it and DF..................and add 50 to the price tag....................

Hi!

Daiwa just launched a new rod styled by DF. In my opinion they look even better than the Infinity DF's, because all in black, flare Ends and so on! Classic looking piece of kit by pictures. And the are reasonable priced.
So my question, does anybody use the former longbow version (or already the DF) and can tell me something about the blank! Thin or thick walled, light or heavy, fast or forgiving action and so on....

Thanks
