In reply to Post #34 go outdoors outlet has loads of quality socks, i've bought a pair of 5 season smart wool ones (amazing socks warmest ever) i also then bought a pair of brasher 4 season (nice but not as good)
a good tip i picked up recently. if on a 24-48 session and you suffer with cold feet, take plenty of quality socks, wear 1 pair to drive to, and set-up. then remove them, use talc powder to dry your feet of sweat. and put a clean pair on, repeat this over the session as your feet get cold and sweaty, they should then stay warm.
works a treat for me.

In reply to Post #32 well the weather is warming up a bit now so they will be back in the draw for another 8 months, with a good boot the sock shouldn't matter too much.
I get mine from millets, trick is not to wear more then one pair as youryour feet will sweat and then get cold, i found this out the hard way a few years back, had some bad chill blaines when i got home!!!

In reply to Post #28 Ive got both pairs . 4X4 and Summit . IMHO the brasher are warmer than the summit , however the summit is a thinners sock that is very comfortable to wear with my hiking boots . I got cold feet on a freezing day in December even with the brashers but it was minus 9 in a strong northerly . Next time I go out I'll wear one on each foot and report back .

In reply to Post #21 I have 4 pairs of the Brasher, so not looking to change really. I think i suffer poor circulation in my feet. Even with these socks & Baffin Trappers boots i can suffer a bit of a chill at times. Not unusual for me as can struggle with cold feet at home at times
