The link in your post is chock-full of references to exploitation and the minimum wage. What evidence is there of anyone not wanting to meddle other than that of government not enforcing their own legislation?
The EU workers aren't the culprits, they are being exploited.

Read what I wrote again fella. I said EU workers were being exploited. The opposite of me calling them culprits.
My view of the police is that they deal in proof and fact where possible. If a person is suspected guilty, whatever their background, age, gender or favourite bloody tv show, then they will be investigated and if evidence supports it, they will be charged. Saying they don't because they would be accused of being racist is just a cop out (no pun intended).
Besides, there are enough examples of the police doing things on a daily basis that question intent due to racial profiling and that doesn't seem to stop them does it?

The vast majority of these employees won't be employable in any other job and the company (who contribute whatever tax the accountant can't fiddle) won't survive on the profit margins paying minimum wage would leave them. So the government are left with X amount of people on the dole (still working cash in hand) and dried up tax revenue.
Not condoning it, but action could technically put more people into deeper poverty than turning a blind eye.
As usual, the poor get poorer

If you read the Jay report and others you will find that the blind eye didn't exist to anything like the degree that has been exploited by the usual subjects, if at all. Dog-whistle stuff.
Don't let the evidence get in the way of your thought process though, go for the unsubstantiated rumours.

Suppose they be accused of racism because they only went after the BAME sweat shop owners but ignored the British ones?
Not saying it's right it ignore any of the crimes but there's going to be British pedo gangs, British sweatshop owners, etc. Which are not being bought to justice too.
