Can anyone recommend a rod for Perch fishing. I did look at a 10ft 1.75lb tc Scope rod but I think this would be a massive overkill!

I use a pair of Darent Valley specialist 0.75lb rods for roach and perch fishing... Landed the odd stray double figure carp on them too which gave them a good workout

That would be my vote too great rod
Have also a set of 3 gravulle 1.02lb twin tip rods that are almost as nice to use

I have a pair of the Tackle Box - Darent Valley 0.75tc rods. Really recommend these rods. Also good for Crucians, and roach etc. Never going to be able to chuck these miles but really nice for playing fish. Affordable price as well.
13ft float rods are also great rods for perch. I have the JW Young 13ft Trotter, which I think is great value for money.

I appreciate this thread is an old resurrected one but in case anyone uses it for reference.... I use a pair of the Darent Valley 12 foot stepped up float rods for perch. They have a test curve of around a pound and are ideal for several methods including small live baits. Nice soft action to reduce hook pulls. I don't know how they can sell them for the price. The quality is excellent.

For perch..which is my second favourite species,nothing beats the sight of an angry perch all gills flared out!!
Float fishing,korum four piece float rod,and a nice centrepin,and a John Wilson Avon/quiver, travel,down the edge with a nice big prawn,with a lovely old Mitchell 300,restored better than new by 'Metal micky'..
I'm not generally size orientated, by my last perch was 3lb.12oz,what a creature,from a currently predated water,so I was lucky..
