I detailed all my answers as to what can be done well down this thread but to some up. In fact I gave you some things that could be done in my last post
Did you not read it?
It happens to all races, yes, but not in the same proportions. If poverty was distributed equally I don't see see why there would be a racial inequality issue in terms of poverty. But fact of the matter is, it isn't distributed equally. Which leads to the other inequalities we see in race, incarceration figures, knife and gun crimes, etc. It's all linked. And it isn't solely down to a lazy attitude is it.

Here's the problem for you to solve based on the 2011 census figures
White English 48,160 000 people (86% of the population)
4% unemployed, around 1, 926 400
Black African 1,680 000 people (3% of the population)
9% unemployed, around 151,000
Interestingly black unemployment has come down a long way over the last few years
Now heres the question for a clever lad like you. How are you going to get all these people working and earning a good living?
BLM - We want jobs and houses
And don't forget to ensure they have the education and skills the employer requires, if you can find one of course

Now heres the question for a clever lad like you. How are you going to get all these people working and earning a good living?
The governments seems to be set to pay their wages now. The young ones anyway. Upskilling people, re-training them, etc. With Priti Patels new immigration system there will be plenty of minimum wage jobs going soon enough they can do. Is that not the main of brexit, to stop those foreigners stealing Jobs?
I'm not quite sure what problem you want me to solve? %wise more black people are unemployed than white? Even though there is 28x more white english than black Africans, there is 12x more unemployed whites than black Africans. Makes sense that the conclusion to be drawn is that even though there are 28:1 white:black African in the population, it's only 12:1 on unemployment.
Funnily enough you do understand that black African doesn't include all black people right? Black British, black Caribbean, etc. Arent included in your figures.

We could sack 151,000 white people and give their jobs to black people?
Bit unfair but it's a quick way to address the balance, 75,500 could be better, evens it out?
Look at the figures, black peoples are a minority, 3 out of every 100 so don't except to see their faces everywhere, 3 out of every 100 TV presenters that you see, 3 out of every....
Now what you could do is dig down even further to try and understand why there are 151,000 unemployed?
But ultimately we need to get all these people employed, the dream would be loads of businesses stood around wanting labour because there was not enough to go around?

Are you on something tonight?
What your claiming that I'm saying is not anything like I've actually said.
And you still don't answer my questions. ...
Double standards much?
When black women 'stop complaining and do something' you question whether she's worth the job she applied for, interviewed for and then was appointed for. You can't have it both ways
BLM doesn't say give us jobs and houses. just saying
edit - Greekskii .... 'No one said there wasn't any opportunities, is this why you're so irate? Just not always equal opportunities.' I said this ages back but some people have their head in the sand / up their backside....

Didn't question that. I question company policies at times based on experiences as I posted before
BLM doesn't say give us jobs and houses. just saying
What does it say then because that's what most of the banners are that I see on the news?

'Well, we have a new African lady who started this week. I hope she was employed because she was the right person for the job'
your words.
I'll ask again -
Q1 - would you have posed that question if it was a white bloke that had got the job?
No?
Q2 - why might that be?
...
Please answer Q1 before moving on to Q2
or not - your choice

Q1
If a large proportion of the previous white blokes were good at their jobs the answer would be no.
If a large proportion of the previous white blokes were not good at their jobs the answer would be yes.
Remove white blokes and insert any combination of colour and sex and get the same result.
Q2
Based upon the previous performance and proportion of the colour/sex of the workers

A persons skin colour or gender does not define their ability to do a job.
Would you be ok to miss out on a job because the previous worker was a white bloke who wasn't very good? No of course you wouldn't because that's not treating YOU fairly. It's a loaded preconception. And that's a problem.
Jon - nail hit on the head

But.....
At Scozza's place I could miss out if I'm white because they use positive discrimination.
Jon
The vast majority on here say that racism is a problem. I don't know anyone who has said it isn't a problem

Fair enough
I would like to think that although we see things a bit differently underneath it all we are not as apart as it sometimes reads.
10 more minutes and I'm off to bed, goodnight

No, but since this is about black people and employment or lack of opportunities it is kind of relative to the thread isn't it. Can't think why I would mention it otherwise, can you?
And BTW. If the white bloke wasn't performing he would be treat just the same as others who were not, performance managed. It's called business
So, you saying they lack opportunities that's another one to prove you wrong. Not to mention all the other people that are on site. And I have worked for three large corporates now and diversity, as I posted earlier, is big on their agenda, they like to be seen doing the right thing. Good for their image and brand.
You might find this interesting. The last person I set on was a white lad, fantastic attitude, very good qualifications and a brilliant interview. There were a lot of candidates of different ethnicity but they do not get the job because they did not have the qualifications, grades, background and interviewed very poorly. What we do though, we usually choose 2 people during the process so if we offer to the first candidate and he does not accept we can offer to the other. The other candidate was a Thai lad who had some fantastic qualifications and was working in his uncles restaurant as a waiter, very little experience compared to some but had a fantastic attitude and came across as a very friendly person who would integrate well with the team. The key point is getting the right person, we can develop the skills. He would have been working for a black engineer. really nice fella, he works for me, but now the white lad is. Not that I had to tell you this but, you see, your spouting a lot of bollox really.
And for the record. This does not account for all the others though that have come through the gates and gone over the years that I have seen with a ****ing bad attitude. And if you want to tackle something, that's what you need to be tackling. Bad attitudes because a qualification is only a tick box. So, on what I have seen, I guess some businesses may stereotype people for a reason and since I have experienced it first hand I can see why they do
You should maybe stick to teaching and giving kids the best opportunity in life instead of just another group of helpless lives that come through the system every year because this is where it starts for me. My daughter had a rough time through school, the teaching was horrendous and the school got put on the ofsted report, which didn't surprise me really. I had a few meetings with the headmistress who's head was so far up her own arse she could not see daylight, she got sacked though in the end, no surprises though for me. Not to mention the other year tutors who I have had meetings with, one was appalling, we had to listen to him, telling us how it is, not the other way around, listen, why would he want to do that, clueless idiot, would you believe it?
Some people teach with a passion which I think you will Mal and some people teach to earn a living, and that's the difference, there are ****ers in every sector see. My Mrs and I did some home schooling and I even ended up paying for private lessons to ensure we gave her a good start since school was failing her badly. I have discussed it many time with other parents and it really is heartbreaking when you see all these kids struggling and you know they are not going to have much luck in life, because this is where it all starts. This is one area that needs a massive shake up for starters, schooling. Give people the best start in life. Once you can get the kids to attend school and give it their best shot that is (the parents)
I had an hour on google last night to try and educate myself. This backs your argument up perfectly, surprised you did not find it. There are lots of counter arguments though. There's a problem though too, this is qualification based. The real things like interview skills and attitudes are not accounted for. And let's face it, when you see how half of these perform that are on the news, screaming, shouting and rioting I can see why they are not employed
One for Mal
