Just trying to make the point that how you said it came across a different way than you meant it.

We all know recruitment of BAME and disabled occurs due to quotas and being perceived as fair. If it didn't then there would be no need for diversity and inclusion paperwork when applying for a job. Double edged sword as it's purpose is to ensure that no one is discriminated against however many employers use it as a way to only pursue BAME or disabled candidates to improve diversity in the workforce and don't really base it on the capability of the candidates. Of course people could lie to get jobs...I've seen it first hand with made up qualifications and even someone using a different name so they were considered for the job and not automatically binned (this was a BAME person using a British name btw).

But then if you look at it the other way round, are employers compensating for years of ignoring BAME candidates? I said a long time ago down this thread that it only takes the boss to be a racist and that creates an issue. Is it a conscious attempt to hide discrimination or even better themselves and try to make up for previous ways of thinking?

"Why are you so opposed to equality is the real question"

Some are because they are racist, some are because they're misogynistic, individualism also plays a part. It's a great race that you start wherever you start and the finish is dependent on how fast you run and not predetermined in any way. Inequality is irrelevant in the race just get on with running. Its pretty easy to see the flaws when applied, in society.

Well I'm just going off the fact that people that acknowledge inequality and want equality you deem to be racist and anti white. So you can't want equality if our ideal of equality is, to you, a bad thing.

I get the feeling you like to single out and focus on one factor of something. For example race in this instance of “being stupid” or incapable of working to the standards. You attribute stupidity to parenting but don't look in to what social-economic circumstances lead to that parenting or that person not achieving in school, etc.

Are you sure?

This action cannot be undone.
