You don't understand the process of recruitment if you think that employers are taking on unqualified applicants just because of colour. A company will not be compelled to employ a 'quota' of BAME if there are no suitable applicants. So.... not exactly that at all.
And as already said, being not good at your job, or lazy, or any other negative trait is NOT down to skin colour. If that were so then exactly the same reasoning could be applied to the the lazy and ineffective white blokes out there couldn't it? Or is that something else that's not an issue where you live...?

There are plenty of brilliant black teachers. In spite of some absolutely shocking discrimination they might have faced (a report in my union newsletter just this week if you want to read it). I'm sure there are a few awful white teachers out there. But not because they are white.
No comment on the comparison made with female police officers? Try using all the negative comments you've made but replacing colour with gender and your workplace with the Police force and discuss it with your wife to see what she responds with.

To have a meritocracy you first must have equality. Quota systems have been used to good effect to kick the door in on equality but a long way to go yet.

I will try another perspective to see if you can read between the lines. Let's try the KFC scenario where all the TR fans were one day when I went in handing leaflets out and been a bunch of ****s in general. They think there are no jobs because of coloured folk taking them and coloured folk taking over our society and taking all their options away. It's their fault, the colured folk, we don't want them here

There are opportunities in the UK but not the same level for all and unfortunately for some it's skin colour that is used to suppress opportunity.
I've my own experience of KFC and EDL which I've mentioned before. The blame game appeared to be that all of their problems were the fault of the young asian girls in front of them

I think we all get what you're trying to say but in saying it you defined idiots by colour and seemingly ignored my post asking if you think white people are genetically more intelligent going by what you'd said. That doesn't really help the case you're trying to make
