Nurses are HIGHLY stressed and the workloads are ridiculous and that's down to all those idiots cutting the costs and reducing the numbers without out some proper thought. Seen it first hand. It's wrong

Absolute joke. My missus is NHS and although they get a discount it's still about £7 a shift. £21 a week (3 12hr shifts), £1,092 a year To go to work. All of the salary sacrifice car parks are on waiting lists. Car park ran by a third party that are more than happy to whack a ticket on a car even when they know it's NHS staff.
Hospital sold the parking rights to keep their head above water a few years back.
Our country is ****ed up. Free healthcare but if you want to use it then you have to pay someone else £2.80 an hour.

I think parking for visitors should be charged but the funds should go back to the NHS. Its easier to offload things and privateer them as opposed to manage them, our governments over the last few decades have been very good at this
Parking for doctors and nurses should be free though for me, part of their package.

We need to flog the private car parking companies in public and show them for what they are.
Hopefully they will concede and drastically reduce the charges to staff and then the government pay those charges.

I know there was one back in 2017 / 2018 but that was sidelined of course. I think it was to scrap ALL charges - for visitors too - and govt said it would be too costly and that NHS would be subsidising people going shopping...

No such thing as a free lunch ... but Rishi will give you half (up to a tenner, no booze, in August etc. etc.) still not bad though. Hope it gives the hospitality sector a bit of a boost.
Kickstart scheme: 16-24yr olds to be employed with wages paid by government instead of on UC...minimum wage for 25hrs a week. Companies get £1,000 per employee on the scheme.
Sounds good, also sounds a bit like paying to have staff for the companies. Some big firms have signed up to it including barclays and sainsburys.
