Think it's a good campaign myself
I also think it would be good if all footballers like Rashford did something for their communities, the fans that pay to see them every week. They are on extortionate salaries, I'm sure they could all donate a fair wedge, even if it was through tax reclaims if nothing else to support such charities. If they were genuinely interested

Boris Johnson has scrapped the target to lower net migration to tens of thousands as he slashes the £35,800 salary cap for skilled UK migrants.
The plan, which ditches the aim put forward by Theresa May's government, was announced in a 507-page rulebook on Thursday.
Under the new proposal, the cap needed for skilled migrants to stay in the UK without any time restrictions will be reduced to £25,600.
It comes as Mr Johnson pursues an Australian-style points-based immigration system, which will take earnings into account along with a myriad of other factors, and comes into effect from January next year.

Nurses pay rise ,can't see that happening , to give themselves a £3300 pay rise a few weeks ago just goes to show how out of touch they are
and to see that lavish parliamentary menu that was doing the rounds on social media , how we subsidize their lifestyles , really sticks in your throat ,
Brexit , the majority of the uk population were played like a fiddle and now they have the perfect "get out of jail "card regarding the failing economy , it's all down to coronavirus !
I don't think that even Boris is so stupid as to close our access to this supply of nurses and doctors

People are now starting to realise that the “Australia” deal that they were sold as being good is actually exactly the same as NO deal It's like they weren't warned or told about it.

Why should footballers do something when other high earners and those whose only skill was to be born into a rich family aren't being asked to?
Footballers (and most are from modest backgrounds) seem to bear the brunt of the comments about high wages but it is the market that decides the monetary value of their skill. Whilst becoming a top-rated player is still a rarity and the demand is high for their skills the wages will be high.
Unless of course you nationalised the Premier League and made them civil servants I suppose, like the good socialist you are deep down.

Same reason as the government should.
There's a footballer calling for school dinners, he was the one banging the drum. I wonder how much he is donating himself, or should we leave it down to the tax payers. A lot of clubs do things for the local community. If school dinners are their concern, then why not pitch in?
If he is donating himself good on the lad. I'm sure they may be some kind of tax fiddle or they could create one, reductions in tax if they are donating. I know Harry McGuire was donating out of his own pocket, whether he can claim it back or not, or put it through his books is another story?
And same as any rich person, they have an option to support charities if they want to, or should the government support all these charities instead?
