Bez.....just šŸ‘Œ ...qualifying on youtube...in lots of pain!

Loving Ogura & what trackhouse are doing..šŸ˜Ž

Looked at the single day price to visit...just ridiculous 🤬

Edit,

Great result for Aprila, go Ogura...even his boss fancied Raul over him, you show em lad šŸ˜Ž

Stands empty, not surprised at those prices, they'd have made more money by lowering the price encouraging more folks to go!

Interesting weekend. Racer of the week RF, what a win, closely followed by JM.

Aprilia dominates and Silverstone kills tyres!

Track house manager couldn't have got it more wrong if he tried šŸ˜‚...RF for the sprint AO for the GP. Something very odd about the GP race for Ogura before binning it, which is in itself odd.

Poor Crutchlow 😢 Not sure Bez should even of been riding with that shoulder, I was praying he didn't have a off!

I was watching the front of Oguras bike, it was all over the place, unstable, had to happen. Major set up problem there, guess he had no adjustment, which surprised me?

It was a good ride from Bez considering the injury though, crazy, but they are straight back on them!

Hi Vossy, i have to say i agree with you regarding the prices, i dont know why they dont reduce the prices at Silverstone to get more in, god knows how a family of four pay for their tickets at those prices. The last time i went to Silverstone was in 2008 and apart from Barcelona and Valencia before that was when it was the 500’s at Donnington and i dont remember it being prohibitively expensive back then, did you see Iwan Thomas walking around the campsite for TNT sports? Ā£6.50 for an ice cream!!!
I used to work for a photo agency that photographed F1 back in the early noughties, I got some gratis tickets for the Silverstone race in 2002, if I had paid they would have been Ā£95 for general admission and an extra Ā£25 for the infield, that’s withno guaranteed seating and twenty four years ago!!!
I stick to Bemsee racing these days as my cousin races and I get free tickets🤣 with the odd BSB meeting thrown in, more my price range🤣
Me and a mate are thinking about Brno next year but they haven’t finalised dates yet, has anyone on here ever been?

The flip side, Henry, I don’t think motorbikes are as popular in the UK now as they once were. The majority or people riding sports bikes and motorbikes in the Uk are 50 plus I bet lol

And then there’s the adventure bike generation, ditched the sports bike for more comfort and an adventure!

Europe on the other hand, different story, maybe it’s the weather or mass use of scooters and a natural progression, who knows. Le Mans, GP, 80,000 people there!

I was gonna go this year for the weekend but couldn’t make it. Wanted to see MM live, ive messed around and missed the last 3 now, must go next year.

Hi Chris, you’re more than right there mate, it’s no coincidence that the demise of the super fast sports bikes has come about at the same time as cctv camera technology, It doesn’t seem to stop the criminals mind youšŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø, and like you say over 50 year olds now opt for sensible bikes like tourers, I doubt young people could afford the insurance these days and would end up losing their licences anyway. I was saying to a friend of mine that I very rarely see a sports bike on the road these days whereas once upon a time that was all you saw, not to mention the drop in car drivers driving standards, especially where I live it’s like playing Russian roulette going out on a bike these days!
And then there’s another issue which is unless you’re lucky enough to be able to store your bike in a garage you’ve got the angle grinder mob to deal with, Ā£20,000 pride and joy in a container on its way to Africa or the Middle East coming to a town near you soon!😫
I’m glad I enjoyed my bikes when I did!!!
Stay safe matešŸ‘

To be fair, there are still quite a few, living up north there are some good areas, out to the east coast and the Yorkshire dales, plenty of back roads and they are what most folks ride. Some good cafes too so there’s always a mix of bikes, the majority are riding adventure bikes but there’s still a few sports bikes around, trouble is they don’t hold the money, the dealers cant shift them, they tell me, so they will give you a crap price. A BMW GS though, every one’s after the!

Sold my Panigale recentley, worst mistake I ever made, should have just keep it. Bought a Super Duke Evo which is nearly as bonkers lol. Still can’t bring myself to ride an adventure bike but I went to the ADV bike rally this year with some mates. I was looking at 1300 gs, you never know lol

Good to hear from you pal, you take care

Hi Chris, sadly I had to accept my bike riding days are over, mainly down to my age and the length of time since I last owned a bike, I was looking at a Kawasaki Z900rs just for having some fun on through the summer, quick blasts to the coast etc… not made for distance, I was looking at around twelve grand for a new bike and when I started shopping around for insurance to get an idea I promptly gave up, almost a quarter of the price of the bike!!!🤣 I think they were sending me a message, getting old sucksšŸ˜•
You take care matešŸ‘

Apologies mate, I missed the last 4 replies on the thread, probably because of the break in races...nothing to report šŸ˜‚...doh....Ā£6.50 for a ice cream...I'm old...kids probably think it's normal!
Makes me wonder re the future, electric bikes won't cut it for me as a viewer. I stopped watching F1 when they started introducing all the safety features, changing tires etc. There's meant to be a element of danger/disgusting emissions and big engines.

Anyway, MM in control at Aragon, Costa did well to keep up with him in the main race, if he'd of been on the Ducati !!! Real shame Ogura was injured.
Thought Toprak has been showing signs lately, getting more from the Yam than Quat.
