One thing I have realised Wayne is my upbringing is very different to others. I have been brought up to respect our country, heritage and values. get a job and work hard because nobody owes you anything. I get the impression some people would much rather look for things to complain about and moan how **** it is over here than just get on with it

A rather defeatist attitude isn't it? Just getting on with it regardless of the ****.
Clearly how people differ. Some accept and some want change.
Louder the voice is the more likely change happens...or people just try to censor it of course.

Sometimes you need to know your limitations. Only so much an individual can influence. Governments deal with politics, remind me again who you voted for?

Plenty, the health and resilience of my local river is a good start, influence on local planning policy, influence on government and local council spending on the environment, restoration of heritage, community involvement with nature... just the main headers, I won't go in to individual species, sites and communities

I'd rather live in a society where it's possible for all to have a comfortable existence without it being necessary to have a list of handouts as long as my...... phone screen.
I do however sleep at night feeling safe. But that's because I've got a 5ft sword and knuckle duster in the divan base and two 5 lever locks on the door

If I had the platform to make changes in other areas then I would, sadly I don't and I become one of many voices that form a larger group that ask for that change.
I think we have all thought about being PM at some point. I'd never make it because I wouldn't want to be part of any of the current parties. Name the last independent PM.
