Anyway back on track of sorts there was a mini riot in Brixton last night due to an unlawful street party.
I know lockdown is difficult but we're not going to get through it when we have rallies, protests and now unlawful street parties.
I know some of you are anti police so what's you thoughts on this?

The BLM protests have done something, raised awareness, and got people talking about the subject.

Street parties are completely different - just an excuse for people to do what they want and just daft given the Covid situation, and if those attending attack the police they should get nicked.

General cobbler's?

Didn't he command a regiment in North Africa?

But seriously, there's a conspiracy thread already.

I'm still a bit concerned about social distancing when protesting but I get what you're saying

The problem since lockdown rules started to change is lots of the things people do in their leisure time for enjoyment are still banned. But the boring necessary thing's like work etc aren't. Sooner the better all restrictions are lifted, the less pissed off people will be and less inclined to piss about.

agreed

I see the numpty from Burnley has lost his job. Can't imagine many employers would want to be associated with him. Perhaps he can become a freelance journalist with his mate Tommy....

studies in the US are saying the BLM protests and the anti-lockdown protests have not caused an increase in infections. This is just the US and of course only one or two studies and could all be different here but positive signs that it didnt cause an increase there as it was a lot busier and a lot less masks and social distancing.

Hopefully a similar study finds the same over here so all those "I cant back BLM because the protests will cause loads of deaths" can now back it without excuse

OK so you get a bit bore but you have a party anyway and after a while you're told to stop so, do you think 'oh well it was ok while it lasted but I understand it breaks lockdown and is putting people at risk or do you think I'm not having that and cause a mini riot.

It's ok to back the cause but to say breaking social distancing is ok is wrong.
Social distancing is there for a reason and some scientists are saying we are relaxing it too fast.
That's why the street party shouldn't have happened.

What about the 2000 strong party on a Brighton beach? No riot but many more people and loads of rubbish left.

That's wrong as well, local authorities should've prevented it but if the police were called in I'd doubt they'd been a riot.

They were called in. The crowd got angry but did disperse eventually. Police didn't arrive in an aggressive manner and it was dealt with. Not being reported on most MSM outlets though. You can find it here

People think and react in different ways. Rave/ Tribal gathering events will always happen, just that it's against the lockdown rules at the minute. It's difficult to stop young people doing what they want. I've heard a few raves have been organised by dealers for obvious reasons but don't know how true that is.
Are you sure?
