Bob, what makes you so sure that your ‘Mr Average' is going to get fed up with the whole BLM thing on the strength of non-stories like the road in Ealing?
You keep saying that there are only a few contributors to these threads, which is true, but to say the silent majority see things from your point of view is a bit of an assumption I'd say. While Joe Average might be looking for reasons to dismiss BLM and thinking it's time they shut up, who's to say Norman Normal isn't thinking ‘yeah, fair enough, why not change things a bit'?

Funny how you don't quite understand history in its entirety and just chose to make sweeping statements that are not accurate. It doesn't take much to read all about it and educate yourself. Mainly on the basis that what your referring to is Cyprus... which has Turkish and Greek populations on it.
The greek junta collapsed after Turkish invasion of Cyprus. The treaty of peace was formed between Cyprus, Greece, Turkey and Britain (as Cyprus is a former Empire State of Britain - it was the EOKA which actually got it independence from Britain with backing from the population) Makarios was the first president of independent Cyprus. Britain remains as a guarantor of independent Cyprus, hence their involvement. Don't forget that the British empire refused to let Cyprus have a democracy up until then and Palmer (the governed at the time) did everything he could to suppress a local interest in politics.
So no - Britain didn't give democracy to Cyprus or Greece. In fact they refused to let Cyprus have it until 1959 when the Zurich agreement was signed to declare its independence.
Populations crossed to their respective sides of Cyprus by agreement between the Greeks and Turkish with no violence required. They did a population swap as it's known to allow safe passage. UN and British SBA (sovereign based area) forces oversaw it.
Learn your history before expressing wildly inaccurate opinions as facts
