No probs mate. Seb will tell you there are no crays in wild boar but trust me, they are there in droves.

Thanks again for the valued information. Whilst I am on what is the set up at Abbey. We are looking to book wild boar in June 2020. There will be three of us. I was wondering who would be best to converse with reference to arrival, peg allocation etc all prior to the business of fishing, has anyone got any signposts re you tube, vids etc. What tactics to use as a first timer, thanks in anticipation,

You have to email Evelyne on the Abbey email address and she will let you know if there is availability for the dates you require ( be aware the lakes are getting booked up well in advance)
You then turn up at the complex on the date you have booked and take your chances on what swims are left.
First come first served basis .

The end closest to kingfisher is the deeper end, the far end much shallower. Avoid pellets as there are crays in there, take hardened hookbaits as there are hoards of roach. There are tree stumps and mussels so strong leaders are a must. Keep it simple. I fished the shallower end and the fish didn't like it when spodding, killed it for a day or 2. Bait boats, or catty/stick loose baits out. Use big hookbaits as there is a fair head of small tench and bream too

Don't think there's a great number of vids for kingy mate as it's not really been a carp orientated water for that long. Kev Ellis did one but thats the only one I've seen. It's quite deep, very weedy but apparently fishes well for the carp these days. Fished it twice myself but the last time was about 12 years ago and just for the cats. The end nearer to the other lakes is the shallower end..
The train line runs right behind it and its bloody loud, and once the sun goes down the frogs start, and they will do your head in for the first night or 2 until you get used to them

Theres a few videos on utube but not many of either kingy or attila its mainly heron or fox as there supposed to be the big fish waters ???

Ip 100 is a wealth of info as I've picked his brains a few times dave the abbey bailiff is very helpful and if you email him he will normally reply within 24hrs
