I'm guessing there's a lot of variation in the leg tension on these, mine will quite readily roll itself up if you aren't careful placing/lifting a pan. I have to dig holes for the feet if on ground that isn't perfectly flat/level.
I don't get the cult following of these, yeh when they were £20 delivered with little or no competition below £50, but there are plenty of stoves with pre-heat pipes under £30 available now.

heres my 2 pennies worth...
found this thread as looking for Bulin spare parts.
my Bulin T4 is 3 yrs old - used about 20 times per summer
its packed up. I'm an engineer by trade and have taken it apart and will say Bulinis absolute crap!
i've cleaned it, the jet was blocked and burner internal wire corroded, got it going again, however I doubt if it will last a season out.
guy on YT recommends chickland one only £8.00 ebay ...now gone up to 9.99 sent to ya door from UK, Power: 3500W & Igniter ...he says 2 years and hes had NO probs.
IMO, far better to buy a couple or more of cheapo's - then you may get the price down to £7 !!!
...its ironic what crap they make today, as i still have my original old BRIT 1980 camping gas stove that takes the blue canisters, and its been used for donkeys of years still works fine, only prob is the canisters are EXPENSIVE if ya can even find them!

Wow 2 threads with exactly same post,did you Bulin sack you or something.I have had a primus stove for around 8 years never serviced and never missed a beat.My mate bought one and after about 2 months it broke,he now has had his bulin 2 years and it's been perfect.I think you have just been unlucky

yep seems I've just been unlucky, i remember when i bought it was supposed to be made in Germany?
BUT...i do get bitter & twisted on the quality of what's made today, just look at bivvy/brolly systems, i could design a BETTER quality product for what these RIP-OFF tackle-barons charge and it would be FAR SUPERIOR AND LAST 20 YEARS!

like a Primus Gravity stove I have the original one its over 25 years old still works like new LINKY POO

Ive had one of those generic £10 chinese stoves, the ones with the orange box, that i have abused for 8 years now. Ive never had an issue with it even in the coldest of weather. I

CLEARLY he has not used it in sub zero temps as butane does NOT vaporize ( turn from liquid to gas ) in temps below -2
thats why stoves like Bulin with a pre heat tube work so well in sub zero temps

My bulin has seen better days so looking for a similar replacement. took it apart last summer which gave it some additional life.
was looking for a better quality alternative, don't mind spending a bit, but have used that style for many years, does the primus run on the silver butane/propane welders gas cylinders? Any other alternatives or should i just pay my £20 again and go for another bulin?

would get you a top quality stove that will probably last easily 20 plus years
the Primus Gravity 3 The Gravity EF comes with a windscreen, heat reflector, and nylon stuff sack.

Had 2 bulins both didn't last a season , go for anything by primus you won't regret it best gas stoves by a mile imo I've got the easy fuel and it's head and shoulders above the bulins , I do switch to a Coleman when it's proper cold though 🔥🔥
