Haaland again...
He's scored more champions league goals than Wayne Rooney. In about 160 less games.
We could do with borrowing him for tonight. If it's the version of us that played Bournemouth then I might not come out from the land behind the sofa...

Yeah they are
Just seen the starting line up for tonight. Looks like klopp is going all out attack with a 4231 line up. Might as well go for it as nobody expects us to win.
If only we still had Origi...

Looks like he should have gone all out defence
To be fair I expected you to get a couple.

Madrid did a good holding job with vinicius always ready to break. They knew there was no need to go for goals so did tge same kind of job that bayern did the other night. Militao was probably man of the match or maybe camavinga who looked really good in midfield (although he was up against 37 year old milner and out of form Fabinho...)
I'd like to see klopp play that system in some of our games against teams like Bournemouth and get a couple of goals early on. It makes sense as our midfield is definitely the weak point right now.
It says something when Real Madrid are your bogey team though...

A costly night for the Arse. Overall the better team but picked up injuries and lost on penalties.
It's not the penalties that bother me, I'd rather they have lost in 90 minutes and have fresher legs on Sunday.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing but in hindsight we should have put out out a stronger team and got it done in 90 minutes.
It pains me to say so but their goal was rather good.

You can concentrate on the league now
Just like Chelsea and man City will be able to after the champions league quarter finals....

I'm not sure.
On their day, with Haaland firing, they're ridiculous, but...
They'll likely have to beat Bayern, then Real, then probably Napoli. They could come a cropper against any of them.

As I was saying....
Haaland... 42 goals and city could still play another 19 games this season.
And another hat trick.
Whatever drug tests they do on the horses at Cheltenham, they need to do on him. Human ones won't work

He looks a bit “horsey” lol. Like a freak but certainly knows where the net is. I'm with Jeff, the way how they are playing I think they will walk it, they look so organised and comfortable on the ball and they have a lot of players who are capable of scoring too, not just big and gangly!

They do look a class apart when they're clicking. But...
Bayern are equally dominant in games with a really strong squad.
And Real just don't like losing in the champions league. Look at what they did to city last year.
Don't get me wrong, I love watching city (except maybe against my team) and I always want the best footballing team to win. It'll be exciting watching it play out
In other news... did you see conte letting rip at the spurs players / coaches / owners / cleaning staff / mascots...?
How to get yourself sacked in one easy lesson
