So Lineker won't be presenting MOTD tomorrow.
I've always thought for his £1.35million he should be giving more value for his money by presenting MOTD2 as well.
All he had to do was say he apologises for any upset caused and choose another way of expressing his distaste.
I think he should leave the BBC, join a commercial company and negotiate a contract that allows him to behave like a knob.
Lineker hadn't reached his 2nd birthday when MOTD was first broadcast, I'm sure it will continue if he goes.

Seems Shearer and Wright won't be appearing, in a show of solidarity. Good. About time they were turfed out anyway and replaced with fresh faces.

Nobody called for him to be withdrawn when he criticised the human rights issues in Qatar . ...
But when he correctly compares the language of braverman et al to that used in the 1930s .... there's your selective cancel culture
My family was affected by the holocaust. And I've been to Auschwitz. What's your point? Did you come across the holocaust survivor who previously made the very same point as Lineker about the language and mood from the Home Secretary office?
Braverman, Anderson and Co and their disgraceful policy ideas and rhetoric, and people who go out of their way to find excuses for far right ideology..... I find them way more offensive than an ex football player expressing a valid point.
From the looks of it the thing has become a huge own goal for the 'impartial ' BBC (chairman just happens to get the job after sorting the 800 grand loan for Boris...). Nobody willing to appear in replacement.
BTW fellow carp forum members who have signed the water pollution petition... that evil Mr Lineker, back in August last year also tweeted.. ...

Lot's of people criticised him for criticising Quatar and still going there, if he had strong principles he wouldn't have gone.

He likened the language being used by braverman to that of 1930s Germany. And he's not the first to do so. As I said, a holocaust survivor, Joan Salter, made the same comparison.
The Board of Deputies of British Jews has also raised significant concerns about the migration policy.
So yes. His comment about the language used by our home secretary is valid.

If you think what he's done is ok then I'm surprised.
The latest I've heard is they are considering that the BBC's highest earner is now freelance and not a BBC employee
I'm sure he'll be back next week but I think it's time for a revamp.
