In the capacity as to how democracy has failed there. Not talking about reasons for being there, although it was to dismantle al-qaeda who were based there. Subsequently leading to the Taliban asking for definitive proof it was al-Queda and not getting any so denied to extradite bin laden. Kicking off the supposed “must” of removing them from power in Afghanistan as they were claimed to be working with and protecting al-Qaeda thus being part of the threat to global security.

Regardless, your only come back is about a NATO article 5 invoking which means you either totally ignored the rest of what I said or you haven't got a way to argue it so haven't bothered.

It's also one of the worlds most corrupt political systems. So it isn't a democracy is it. Or at best it's a very bad example of democracy.

Like I said you're just ignoring the bulk of what I'm saying because you know I'm right.

The more functioning democracies in the modern world the less war, terrorism and refugees. Guaranteed.

You literally have got nothing to say because you can't argue with reason

Like I said. Iraq and Afghanistan democracies that you're so proud of aren't functioning properly so

Sad to see that there are enough idiots in Burnley to fund a 'white lives matter' banner which was towed behind a plane over the stadium before the match with Man City.

Same idiots that were “protecting statues” the other weekend whilst singing football chants and downing pints.

I know the thread has gone off topic a bit over the last couple of days - all in the name of discussion. fair enough.

however, back a bit closer to the original set of discussions - Netflix are showing Ava Duvernay's documentary '13th' which I mentioned a while back. It's also available to watch for free on YouTube here...

I found it really interesting. some staggering facts / figures. Some stuff that will may surprise. Some stuff that some will take issue with. Some stuff that will confirm things for others. A really good documentary.

Peace and love all

So to me, your comment and many others i've heard suggests, white people should take their punishment yet not voice their thoughts.
This knee thing is a confusion to me, Floyd died mainly by being knelt on' so doing the knee seems like a piss take to me but, then again none of much makes sense to me now. The white lives matter banner meant nothing to me as i know all lives matter. What about the families of the three white people murdered by a non white at the weekend' wonder what they'd say about the banner, will they now organise a few protests and damage a few statues.

Floyd didn't deserve to die in the way he did' i've said this earlier in the thread. Having now read up a lot on his past' i can't help thinking the world is a better place without his sort, regardless of colour.
When his previous victims read all the attention his death created, i wonder honestly how they feel.

I have a lot of experience of racism in the work place, and it has cost me, so racism is not good for me financially, and probably the rest of the world for various reasons. Most of the racist acts and ironically claim i've witnessed have been non white people.
It will never end, never because before man interfered, we were not designed to all live together, that's why we are all different colours, different cultures and different religions. We are all different colours for a reason.

The only countries that trully have no racism, are where there are no mixing of race or colour, that sort of is the final word, if there's only one race, there's no racism, simple.
I don't know how correct what i've written here is' it's based mainly on what i've read and seen in my businesses.

I have now heard on the radio, at least six black men say the same. By the way, some of my managers are black, and nice people and are good at their jobs. My accountants are Indian, and some jews, my solicitors are south african, and many factory staff are asian, indian, black and eastern european. I, or rather the managers give everybody a chance and the same treatment no matter what colour or race. Yet they cannot get on for any period of tine.
A smaller company we have, is just white people, that's not by choice it's in an area of little or no racial minority.
Another assembly factory is all Pakistanis, never had an issue there either. So there is some merit in the don't mix, and there'll be no problem theory.

I am actually fed up with it from both sides, i want to enjoy retirement but it's hard with all this going on. Why can't people be happy to be alive, and make the most of things.

Your determination to portray Britain's history of growing democracies in a negative light means you and reason are complete strangers. Like I've said countless times how many have ditched the ideology you for some obvious personal reason dislike?

And I answered your question as none. But the democracy is failing due to corruption in the democracy. So it isn't really a democracy is it. I'm not sure what process happens in your brain that means you can't understand the most simple of things.

I still don't get why you feel it is Britain's role to make the world a democratic place but only go to places that have financial interest. Instead of ignoring what people say to you maybe try answering them. So I'll ask it so you can understand it;

Why do you think it is Britain's place in the world to spread democracy?
Are you sure?

This action cannot be undone.
