A good double live album was one of my sisters, I think she had upgraded the Dansette to a Marconiphone music centre by then.
Humble Pie. Rockin' the Filmore........what a voice!

New to this thread but I'm listing to Quadraphenia, this is a great album but I went and saw the Who with my missus at O2 Greenwich during the quadrophonic tour and it actually sounded better live than on the album. My Missus who hadn't heard the album before this actually said it's the best concert she has been to and that's from a soul girl👍🏻

Sorry if this has been mentioned before 😷

As a 'rocker' I shouldn't like all that Mod stuff but Quadraphenia is ace

couple more live albums...

Queen - Live Killers (Freddie!) Saw them live at Knebworth and was overwhelmed
Kiss - Alive (I think this set the bar early) Saw them live at Donnington and was so underwhelmed...
Metallica - S and M (with the San Francisco Symphony. Astounding) Saw them live a LOT. Always ace!

No Quadrophenia hasn't been mentioned and is part of my vinyl collection
You got Tommy as well but that's a bit bitty with stuff such as THIS

I've seen them twice both at Charlton.

SAHB was one of the acts the second time slow start but it builds the tension

The foo fighters skin and bones was a good live album

Ive been meaning to try and rip the audio off a dvd that came with an Ed sheeran album, it was from the Wembley gig I took the kids to
I could happily listen to that but often skip radio stations when his tracks come on

I can't seem to find a vid of 'you need me' from Wembley, pretty boring track but it was amazing live

I'd waited years to see them and then they were just... ok. It was in that Crazy Nights period with no make up. Some good songs but I wanted the whole cartoon package!

The S and M album is a brilliant production job and the mix of metal and orchestration is bloody great.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrSgg5vZmsI - nothing else matters (if ever a song was made for an orchestra...)

Also saw the Eagles in their hell freezes over come back tour at Wembley another great concert.

As payback for the Who concert I had to go and see Sting and Paul Simon at o2 to be quite honest Sting was so so but Paul Simon was on par with the Who the whole audience singing Cecilia was something you don't forget

Sting even makes ME go 'oh come on man lighten up' !!! Bloody tantric sex and vegan kimono....

And I'm as snowflake as they come!

I did love the Police though (maybe keebs mentioned them and Stuart Copeland's big influence before - or maybe I imagined that)

And I really liked The Last Ship that he did (ex shipyard worker so a connection point I guess). Watched the performance of it on TV ages back and thought it was great.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbfMgb8Ff6Q - full concert performance. Worth an hour of your time

I'm a bit surprised, wouldn't be my go to but actually they're not bad at all.
Are you sure?
