He wasn't found not guilty the charges were dropped because a witness backed out.
The video and pictures that came out last year I think would be enough for Utd to cancel his contract.
Can you imagine the abuse he would get running out at any ground in the country after this,if he's going to stay in football it will be abroad somewhere.

Maybe look at the detail of the Ched Evans appeal and ask yourself if you be happy with that outcome for your daughter / sister / wife.
It's no wonder hundreds of cases are not brought to trial because young women have to put with **** comments like they brought the club into disrepute, not the person who sexually assaulted them.

I actually think Utd are playing it right as they have all the way through. They need to sit down with Mason to get to the bottom of it all before making any decision. They obviously want to cover their arse, as you do.
Given the current climate on the abuse, rape and murder of women I'm pretty sure that the CPS and the Police would be looking at every angle to secure a conviction. However the ' new evidence that has come to light,' whatever that is, means he has no case to answer.
Its only been 24 hours, let's just wait and see what's what.

Honestly Bob I could write you pages on it... it's the tip of a very unsavoury and worrying iceberg. Just look how quickly the narrative shifts to 'blaming' the girl...
But, keeping it to greenwood, the recording of him is pretty damning. Not being charged isn't the same as 'poor lad did nothing wrong'. Anyone who spoke to my daughter like that would test the limits of my pacifist nature. And if my son spoke like that he'd get a clout from both me and his mother. He hasn't been proven innocent and 'the media' couldn't play his words if he didn't say them in the first place could they? And that's without the alleged physical violence
United are playing the media friendly role set out for them. Their 'own enquiry' won't result in them writing off a multi million pound asset will it? I expect a statement along the lines of 'the club is absolutely against any form of violence toward women' and greenwood to attend some form of session with women's aid or the like as a lip service attempt to show he's not the misogynistic, entitled little brat he appears to be...
Maybe some community service watering planters at the end of residential roads in Salford...

If a women says no and it means no, if anyone forces them then it's rape. My concern is unstable women who wake up the next day with regrets and can't face the consequences of their actions.
