If I remember rightly approx. 50% of asylum seekers get entry of the UK the rest are judged not to be and so we shouldn't just let them in because they made the journey or in my words 'give them the benefit of doubt'
That's the point I'm trying to make

Gotcha.
You're talking about real refugees rather than the swarthy looking ne'er-do-wells, but I thought you meant terrorists rather than real refugees

Still making no sense. What do we as Britain “win” as you put it? Still haven't won any war in the Middle East. Because troops are still there. The democracy that has been installed hasn't really worked how it should do.
What I said wasn't to be proud of is invading countries on unsound evidence which is then proven to be untrue by government instigated reports. I bet you think the empire was doing the people in those countries a favour too.

Iraq as of 2018 was the 11th most politically unstable country in the world and Afghanistan is one of the most politically corrupt countries in the world. Democracy installed again...they've been democratic countries before until certain leaders stopped doing things democratically... but the democracy isn't really working is it.

Considering the “reasons” for being in those countries was to remove al-Qaeda (Afghanistan) post 9/11...why was democracy installed? Iraq was to remove Saddam because of WMD (which never existed)...why did democracy need “installing” when it already existed, it was just him that stopped it being used. Libya the same... government report found there was no evidence Gaddafi was planning anything he was accused of

China has much less democracy than these countries but we don't invade them... so if you think Britain is some world saviour spreading democracy you're sorely mistaken.

Stop buttering it up. A small percentage are no doubt victims. Look all these what you see on the news they have flooded Europe, even the Scandinavian nations, predominantly men as well (watched a couple of documentaries on the subject). We can't sustain them. Put your feather duster away. If you want to help, go over there and help them

Contribute or out is my take on it, it's as simple as that. If they come over hear they need to learn how to speak our language so they can communicate and get a job to contribute to our society. If they can't then it's time to go home. I am sick to the back teeth of people trying to milk this country dry. The NHS is in it knees ffs. You can thank all the scrounging ****s when we are paying for our medical treatment too

And as for my comment on war. Nodbody wants to go to war do they ffs. If we HAVE to it would be a completely different story because the majority of our Asian friends won't be attending because it will be against there religion ffs. Country first. If you want to be part of it, be prepared to be part of it and that is totally fine with me, land of opportunities. Do whatever you like as long as it's legal. If you don't, then **** off now is my advise and stance

Blame the government for allowing it basically. Not the fault of the people trying to maximise what they can get for minimum output. Isn't that how most people in the world work? If someone offered to pay your wage but you never had to go to work would you take it?

wrong side of bed again?

you're talking sh*te of course.

a small percentage are victims? utter sh*te. If you take Syria for example - 12m civilians affected by a 10 year civil war. 5.6m refugees outside of the country. 6m displaced still within Syria. Half of those affected are children. Most head to Turkey - some head to Iraq (how god awful does your world need to be that Iraq is seen as a safer option for your children?). And that's just an example from one country.

Maybe watch a documentary that shows what's really going on rather than some Scandinavians complaining.

As for me taking my feather duster over there to help.... well, like I said, maybe you got out the wrong side of bed cause that's just silly isn't it?

With regard to 'contribute or get out' - where are you planning to send all the lazy Jeremy Kyle clan from the UK? Overweight, chain smoking, lager swilling parasites draining our NHS on a daily basis with their lung cancer, heart disease and high blood pressure....

The Jeremy Kyle clan is a major problem they leach from the country and we need to sort that out but we can't because they play the system but changes to the system are met by the feather duster brigade.
We might be able to accommodate the real needy a bit better if we could.

Wrong side of bed, no. You just annoy me with some of your comments

What % are Syrians that are over here?

I would like to know the percentage intake over the last few years!

If you watched the documentary I did there is a massive percentage of Africans, paying an absolute premium to the human traffickers to get here, and Europe, nothing to do with a genuine cause. Have you watched the news, did you see what was happening at the channel tunnel and still is. My brother in law comes through there regular, complete mess. I wouldn't want that rabble living down the road from me, you can see how they perform, horrible people some of them!

I have not got a problem if they are genuine, like I have said below, proving they make a contribution to this country, otherwise, if they do not, they are nothing more than dead wood who are another drain on our resources and a kick in the bollox for everybody who goes to work, gives it their all and help to make this country tick over with their tax deductions

And before you say anything. Yes, if they are genuine and over here then we should do our best to integrate them into our society. What do you think we are going to do, spend trillions investing in everyone that enters the country!

I think you are a lot naive at times Mal, not just a bit

Edit, forgot to mention. I agree, there are a lot of spongers over here and I wish they would bring a policy out to deal with them. I.e, if they are capable of working, let's get them working to earn their giros. This way, all those banging on about immigrants taking there jobs would not have a leg to stand on because there wouldn't be any jobs at their pay grade for the immigrants, or shall we say foreign workers. The giro people would be doing them. That would give Tommy Robinson and his bunch of muppets something to think about

We already spend trillions destroying their countries so why not spend some more trillions giving them a life back.

But seriously people should be made to work unless they have paid their taxes and have a genuine reason to be on unemployment. My mums a retired teacher and some of the kids she taught were from dole dosser families. Their parents had drilled the ambition of getting a free house and everything on the taxpayer by getting pregnant at 15-16 years old. No aspirations to do anything with themselves but that. Best to look at home rather than complain about refugees tbh. At least they go through hell to try and get a better life courtesy of the UK taxpayer. Not when their is BRITISH nationals who have a sole intent to be a dole dosser for life. They know all the legalities and loop holes to get the maximum of everything.
Are you sure?
