Unfortunately for us, Ru has moved on. I hope the Abbey management can fill his shoes with someone half as good.

Not really. They should be well spread out in April so you will be fine.

Well to be honest, kingfisher is as good as wildbore. Just the fish are much bigger.
Only trouble is, the time your going the cats will be just waking up.

The only thing I don't like about Abbey lakes is, It's first come first serve. people where walking around the lakes at night and putting a bucket in the swim their wanted (night before their were fishing) so be aware first times

That's the only thing that's stopping me from going back. It's a great place to fish. but if your fishing for a week and your in a group, how would you fill if there's people already fishing etc on your lake?

I'm going in March, Thursday - Monday, if you turned up on a Saturday then you take what's left.
I was under the impression you couldn't get on the lake until the bailiff opens up each day so the bucket in the swim the night before shouldn't be allowed and I would be having a word with the bailiff if I rocked up at 7am before it opens up and people starting the same time as me have already picked there swims.
People start there trips at different times though so a hat would never work.

I'm off to Abbey Lakes End of April for the week,
What's the bait situation like, I hear only 5kg pp can be stored in the freezer as they only have
one freezer for the whole complex?
Has anyone taken there own particle with them or did you use the Abbey particle
