Well, just watched the UTD game or should I say the BF show, what a player!
Whole team played well except for the strikers again ffs, should have had 10!
On form at the moment, even Fred is playing well, except for Martial and Rashford, get a goal scorer and they could top the league

The Arse put out a very strong team and were the better team but could only manage a draw last night with one away goal, could prove costly next week.
Next game is against the Wallets, might as well rest players ready for next weeks game 'home' in Athens

absolutely
the way City are playing at the minute is ... well, it's like we were last season!
Watched them against Everton the other night. Football games are often described as being 'cat and mouse affairs' - this was like my cat toying with a mouse that she's already eaten 3 of it's legs...
and to really take the mick, they brought De Bruyne on for a run out late on. He'd been on about 2 minutes before he struck a cross field pass that the rest of the players on the pitch might go their whole careers and never even see, let alone execute.

It's not even surprising at the moment
And of course another key player injured
Off to WandaVision instead

Front 3 are poor. As you know, never been a Firminio fan Mal. The sub was pointless with a few minutes to go!
I think teams have just learned to play against them too, sit back and don't commit then counter. Great first goal and a fantastic counter for the second, penalty, mmmmm?
Ref was poor overhaul, after the penalty that was not a corner

The front 3 aren't poor but the whole balance of the team is gone with Henderson and Fabinho in defence. Salah is top scorer in the prem. Mane not as sharp. Firmino was never prolific but now looks a luxury at times.
I agree on the late sub. No point at all unless to save another bloody injury.
Ref was rubbish

Mal ... when you beat us back on the 16th December that was the last time you won at home, Hiw the **** did you manage 68 games without defeat and now the last 6 with two draws and 4 defeats

Your right, I will rephrase it, class players two of them when on form, they are not at the moment
Spot on about luxury, I always wondered what they would be like with another type Mane player etc.
Like playing with 10.5 men

They were just lucky in those 68 games, referees tended to give them the decisions but now they don't feel the need to do that anymore

Ok.... jimmy hill chin on for a moment....
In 25 games we've had 18 different centre back pairings. That's included 18 year olds, midfielders and players who were far from match fit.
I'm pretty sure we've not played our 'best 11' for even 1 game this season.
So that's had a huge effect.
Losing Virgil - probably the best centre back in football - would hurt any team. Look at city without Laporte last year. Or spuds without Kane....
On top of that klopp - who is still the man for the job - has pushed Henderson and Fabinho out of midfield. This means our defence is not as weakened as it could be (but not as good as usual of course). The problem here though is that it massively weakens the midfield. Our game has been based on the high press and those two players are key in it. They shield the defence and they break down counter attacks before they get started. When Trent goes forward, hendo moves across to cover. Klopp philosophy has been to win the ball back before the opposition can string two passes together. Shaqiri, Ox, Jones, Thiago aren't the same type of player. Thiago was brought in to compliment fab and Henderson, not to replace them. He tackles like bloody Scholes ffs
So we've got a weaker defence behind a massively weakened midfield who can't do the dirty work for our front 3.
It's like your socks getting wet on a winter session and deciding to take your gloves off to wear on your feet as a replacement. Your toes are kept a bit warmer, but your hands are so flippin cold you can't hold your rod.
Oh and we were lucky 68 times....
