Update on entry requirements for France.
Arrivals by sea and air routes will need to complete a ‘sworn statement' (déclaration sur l'honneur) form self-certifying they are not suffering from symptoms associated with Covid19 and have not been in contact with confirmed cases in the preceding fortnight. This is available in English on the site of the French Embassy London.

Might be a good idea to look at the numbers of infections for France, the above link is updated daily, they are now approaching daily numbers seen at the previous peak of infections.....
Not good at all. If they don't get a grip of it they are in serious trouble and may have no choice but to go into a widespread lockdown again if local lockdowns don't control the outbreak.Obviously the same would apply to us as well if our numbers were accelerating and it got out of control.

Because they have ramped up testing. France were slow to test at the start of the pandemic. Also remember that for every 1000 positive tests over 800 will show no or very mild symptoms. President Macron has already stated France will not go into another nationwide lockdown. The out breaks are localised as they are in the UK. Paris and Marseille showing the vast majority of positive tests.

Don´t wish to start World War III on here, but I have to make the point, most self employed guys (still working) will have applied for more Government financial support for the next 3 months and received it (no questions really being asked about eligibility) and may have found themselves better off than just working without the financial support. Also everybody who has been furloughed will also be receiving financial support, agreed that the latter won´t be receiving their normal pay either, so why would anybody in those categories not take up their bookings?

Yep we due out end of Sept...
However if quarentine not lifted the we are able to rearrange for the following month and so on until its lifted again.
Our group are either self employed or cannot work from home, hence the moving of our dates and tunnel crossing if needs be...

Just trying to speak to the lake owners now. Think we have decided to cancel. I can claim back on insurance but they want to charge me £75 per person excess.
I'm still going on the 5th September . Will swallow the 2 weeks quarantine. Put my feet up and watch **** day time tv for 2 weeks
