I don't think they have great players Jeff, not good enough to outplay Liverpool in a passing or attacking football game, hence the tactics. Kane is a great finisher but he is certainly not a whippet, that's what they needed, Son plus another one or two who can run with the ball, Bale!, if he was on form and played he would have had a few for me, the tactics were made for him

The problem is Bale is never going to be fit for the premier league , he will get minutes in the odd game , moura should be playing more , delli belly one of the most skillfull playesr in the league but not for maureen .

agree about Moura - very good player but maybe too 'flair' for jose
Bale is a conundrum - if Ibrahimovic / cavani can get fit enough for the Prem then he should be able to. maybe his problem (not his fault) is that he'd be the star turn and jose doesn't like anyone but him being the story.
as for Alli - he's been living off past glories for ages now. wouldn't make the bench ahead of Curtis Jones for me. arrogant and lazy. he should sod off to PSG

Early kick off for my lot today - never like those. we always struggle with them.
Got fond memories of Selhurst Park though. Used to go there a lot when I lived in that London as you could always get a ticket. Saw Owen's first game (and goal) for Liverpool vs Wimbledon there back in the day. The whole ground booed as one when the news came through that United had won the league
