Looking at the number of daily new cases in France recently now at around 1,700 per day, sadly it looks highly likely that france will be added to the quarantine list probably in the next week or 2. This situation of going around in circles is likely to continue for quite a while, sheer chaos!

If its not then it will be before you get home again I'd say.... Especially when France has announced that as of 15th of August Mass gatherings of over 5000 people will be allowed again!

Got a few mates over there and they heard it could be imposed within the next 48 hours.

Looks like my rearranged trip for September will be off!

Our April trip was cancelled and i have 2 weeks booked in 27 sleeps time! If you are happy to quarantine for 2 weeks once back in the UK then you can still do the trip. As stated it looks like only the UK will be imposing the quarantine not France at this time.

whether anyone decides to go or not if the UK Gov advises against non essential travel is up to them of course BUT your insurances will not be valid so I hope you don't break down or have a medical situation requiring repatriation.

Yes that's a very different matter altogether. At present the talk is only of quarantining the UK side. If that's the only caveat then i'm off!!! . Of course all subjective at this moment in time.

One person fined for breaking quarentine out of 70,000.........I'll leave people to decide whether they follow the advice.

My point is if Gov puts on a quarantine here they also advise against non essential travel so the two go hand in hand. If our Gov says quarantine when returning from France your insurance cover will be void for non essential journeys. Imagine if you are the innocent party in a motor accident. With no cover your feet won't touch.
Bullseye, your bravado is misplaced mate. Your serious risk potentially lies in France if something goes wrong.
